I've been watching kei-trucks lately and to my surprise, it's you, Adam! I'm a subscriber of yours from Producer Michael videos. Didn't know you fancy those too. Suits you well because it's right-hand drive like the cars in your country. We have a lot of those here in the Philippines, from old models to newer ones. And the best thing is they're left-hand drive! We drive on the right side of the road here, too just like in the US. I am fascinated by westerners getting excited about these little trucks because it's pretty common here in the Ph.

I simply cannot comprehend why these truck aren't available new in North America. The new Toyota Hilux Champ is an awesome basic truck that would out sell pretty much any other small truck on the market because it costs around $15K USD with a diesel engine and an automatic transmission. The truck market today desperately needs affordable vehicles like these for people that cannot afford the ridiculously high priced north American models.

It soooo convoluted to be annoying. There’s some stuff about safety standards, and some thing about High tariffs and protecting American manufacturing from the evils of foreign cargo vehicles, 🤷‍♂️ I dunno, it’s just ridiculous. Also something to do with those café emission standards and those foreign vehicles don’t fit them properly or something I don’t know. The government got a lot of stupid regulations in place and foreign vehicles don’t fit into them and so they don’t wanna import them unless they’re antiques which is that whole 25 year thing.

Nice!!! My sons there, he just imported a 2023 Daihatsu Hijet Jumbo, said he registered same as his sxs for road use there just no freeway or highway! He also has a Suzuki carry, a Honda acty, and a Subaru Sambar? Those are older models. If you get a chance look up DAIHATSU HIJET BUG TRUCK, he has a 2023 enclosed box camper coming from Japan for his wife. Very cool little trucks! My other son just installed bigger brakes, suspension, a turbo kit on his kei truck, hoping I can get in on that fun come summer! Looking at a 2018 van hijet!

That’s a great adventure truck. I can think of one place to take it. Take it to Goodsprings, Nevada and the Pioneer Saloon. Then climb the nearby service road to the top of 8,500’ Potosi Mountain where you can get the ultimate view of Las Vegas. I’ve made that trip many times on my Honda Rincon ATV and it’s spectacular.

The flatbed can be useful for carrying camping gear and the means to cook food etc. It’s just the right size to put a air mattress in to sleep on at night, so could be a good getaway vehicle for weekend’s away

My wife's relative is a Suzuki dealer here in Japan. Any Kei vehicles they can't sell in Japan due to them being dodgy as F, they usually crush or sell overseas. A lot go to Pakistan. I hope you didn't get a dodgy as F*** truck. 😁

No sir actually to Japanese people anything over 30k miles to them its ragged out , how many cars out here in the states do u see 200k or 400k miles on it and still goin lol so for 30k miles on em bring em over we will run em down to the ground 😅..my acty when I got it to the states came in w 51k miles
