Great video. I normally take water in my nose unless I have a steady exhale but I’ll try it.

Dear adam I really really thank you for sharing these tips for swimming efficiently. When will you come to India next for a camp? India is big so request you to plan a camp in west india , i.e. munbai or Pune, If you only do camp in delhi , it's quite far for rest of India (except north india )

Sir do you exhale out of the mouth only or do you exhale out the nose or both? Which is better? Also I've been told to exhale out everything before another breath. I believe one key point in your tip was over exhaling and that might be my cause of getting winded, the same as if you take in to much air. Thought or advice? Thanks in advance.

Well done for your videos, your style and explanation make sense to me. I have always struggled with breathing trying to do the crawl, so a slower cadence / longer glide suits me for sea swimming. One thought occurred to me; if you exhale through your nose with your head down, then the bubbles go along your chest, might this reduce friction? I understand that experiments have been tried on ships and boats to reduce drag using screeds of air bubbles. Marginal difference maybe, but fine tuning adds up.

I always go out of my mouth. If you are breathing out of your nose it could create some bubbles but drag would be minimal if you do it slowly

That's all really fascinating. Two questions: what kind of shoulder problems did you suffer from? Do you think that your technique is applicable to backstroke as well?
@adamwalker32

I had a partial shoulder rupture. Same privilege of hip first could work on backstroke yes

Adam, it sounds like you're exhaling through your mouth? Not through your nose? Am I correct?

So take a breath , hold then exhale in water . Then breath

I believe the pattern would rather be: take a breath, exhale, hold, take a breath. The last thing you want is holding after taking a breath.
