the most annoying thing with instant booking is the fact that it messes up your calendar by leaving gaps like two or three days where its impossible or highly unlikely to get a renter and so it affects utilization and bottom line.

How many cars? Which city/state?

@@StefanMarquardt Hilton head island, SC. Putting a 2017 XT5 on the road. Around here $70-85 on average per day and I plan to get an economy vehicle on the road soon if it goes well! It doesn’t seem like there are a TON of vehicles here, but a decent amount of airport pick up. Mostly part timers and a couple with a small fleet

@PhillyPhantom1 sounds like a decent price for the XT5, but you would’ve be able to gauge how well an economy vehicle would do, unless you list the economy vehicle

I just started and first one instant book was on july 4th and I missed it and was charged 190 for canceling last minute I never opened message or verify or cancel

No lie homie, if it can’t drive cross the world I can’t own it. I respect your hustle just me. I’ve had 2011 CRV that drove 18hours away. Best to put only intown on cars you own & feel uncomfortable w/going outta town

Picture this: You're a Turo host with newer cars worth $50,000-$100,000+ each. Now, imagine if someone with a troubling track record-where their last three consecutive rentals were marked by being a terrible renter, trashing the vehicle, and smoking inside-they just recently received these dismal one-star ratings. They currently hold a 2 star rating. Now, they can instantly book your car. Should Turo allow such renters to auto-book, leaving hosts like myself to be hit with automatic damaging reviews, a decrease in algorithmic search results, and $50 fines? All these unjust penalties, just for prioritizing Turo’s selfish business model over your safety, protection of your rentals, and the future guest experiences with your rentals.

Yea that’s a hit…new cars on Turo doesn’t make much sense unless your using it to offset other income
