Thank you for the awesome tutorial! Do you know if there is a way to adjust the size of the attractor's influence on a point-by-point basis? All the points in your example affect the same circular area. Is there a way to have certain points with a larger influence and others with a smaller influence?

Good question! Yes, it’s possible. The easiest way to explain is to think of copying the project twice-one for each attractor. For the first attractor, let it affect only the grid it belongs to. Then, do the same for the second attractor. After that, compare the results from both grids and pick the more affected tile. If a tile is equally affected by both, just pick one. This gives you the idea but can be tedious. Instead, you can apply the same logic using data trees and mathematical operators to handle all attractors at once.

@@3DBeast Thank you. I appreciate the help!

@@jaxon.roller You're welcome! I just thought of an even simpler solution you might find helpful. Without making any changes to the tutorial, simply move the attractor point in the Z direction. The farther an attractor is moved in Z, the weaker its influence becomes

Hi.. good video.. Though i tried it on a parametric surface but it didnt quite work, i was using the quad panels component from the lunchbox plugin to do it and i extracted the centroids of the panels to use as geometry

I recommend following the tutorial step by step first. Once you achieve a working result, you can make changes. The issue might be with the quad panels - are they on a planar surface? If not, that could be the problem.

as always i am amazed with what you do ,what i am about to ask you is something i know the answer to yet i want to go for it as i know you have a patron or kind of exclusive membership but for those of who cant afford such thing can you do some basic tutorial but are vital and essential work around techniques and which component to use and how it works a basic one i know the basics matter much and thank you

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve mainly been focusing on specific techniques lately, as that’s where most of the interest lies. I’ll consider how best to cover the basics in the future
