my triangle panels are upward and downward instead of right and left like here, how can i change them? i really hope that you answer this i need it for my project hahahah
@3DBeast15 күн бұрын
You can fix this by using the 'Reverse Surface Direction' component. Pass your surface through it and connect a slider with values from 1 to 3. This will flip your pattern between left-right and top-bottom directions. Try adjusting the slider to see the changes!

Amazing.- I am working through the mesh clean up section and having a hard time figuring out which faces to select for the stick - on the awkward shaped gyroid surface. Is there a way to do this clean up in grasshopper without going back and forth to Rhino?

Hello, did you take any courses to become an expert in grasshopper. I would like to know how you became fluent in the software. Thank you!
@3DBeast22 күн бұрын
I didn’t start with a proper course, I learned through KZbin, books, and solving problems on my own. Most of my work is Grasshopper-related. Fluency isn’t something you can buy; it’s about thinking parametrically. Courses might teach components, but real mastery comes from practice and dedication

ı dont understand 14.27 offset surface in invert because i haven"t
@3DBeast22 күн бұрын
The feature is no longer available. Instead, you can use negative distances to invert the offsetting. (Also, note that this component is from Pufferfish, not a native component.)

Hello, trying to instal and at moment where i put definition into grasshopper canvas i got warning of missing plugins. Object Python 3 Script and Plug-in RhinoCodePluginGH. Seems it try to find his instalation node and can`t do this. It seems like a loop, could you help me?
@colourofwordsАй бұрын
I've followed the tutorial exactly as you explained, but my landscape does not look like yours at all, and the control parameters don't seem to work the same way as yours, its not as clean as yours. Are you adding any plugin or blocks that we cannot see? can you share final code layout? Also I am trying to offfset curve with the negative parameter, but it does not work, it gives me an error and just says that the curve offset failed . have you experienced this? and any idea on how to get the code to work? thank you again for the video for teaching us grasshopper !
@3DBeastАй бұрын
There are no hidden components-everything in the video is exactly as shown. It seems like you might be trying to copy it all at once and expecting the final result immediately. This tutorial is meant to be followed step by step, with each section built incrementally. Check as you go, and if each part is matching, the final result will be too. About the curve offset error, it typically happens when the curve has self-intersections or non planar. Try lowering the offset distance or using a different method, like scaling from the center. As for the final code request , you can check it in the description.

Hi great video, I watch all your videos, one question why didn't you use polygon centre which gives the average based on the vertices, edges and area. I think polygon center is short of discontinuity + average component.
@3DBeastАй бұрын
Thanks! It’s just my way of teaching, I like showing different approaches. Of course, the polygon center would do the trick, but now you’ve also seen how to find average centers differently!
