Me too! It’s one of the most original book concepts that I’ve ever read, too

I'm sooo glad to hear that you liked "Beartown"!! I definitely loved it! But I didn't want to read the sequel because I just thought that the ending of "Beartown" was perfect and shouldn't be different. "Anxious people" is the newest book of Fredrik Backman and it is AWESOME! You definitely should give it a try. "Pride and prejudice" surprised me as well and ended up being one of my favorites from 2020.

OK. You've finally convinced me to read Frederick Backman! I will definitely start off 2021 by reading Bear Town and Thunderhead. Thanks for the inspiration!

Bear Town was SO emotionally intense for me that I am actually terrified for the sequel and have been holding off on it for almost a year now LOL. I know exactly what you mean, I knew so many people loved it, but I was NOT expecting how deep and dark it was going to go! Ooooooooo I always forget that I own Red, White & Royal Blue!!!!!! I am so excited to read that one and I'm so glad to know it's not just a simple romcom :)

Pride and Prejudice and Scythe were both surprising reads for me too, I loved them so much and both are on my favorite reads of the year list! I've also heard really great things about The Silence of Bones and am excited to read that at some point!

Scythe was a big surprise for me as well! I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did, especially since I read it a few months into the pandemic!

Radio silence by Alice Oseman was my most surprising book of this year. I loved it so much! I was not sure when I started it if I'm gonna like it, but it ended up being one of my favourite books of the year!

The girl who played with fire is probably mine. The girl with the dragon tattoo kind of traumatized me because I wasn't expecting the content. So I went in not expecting much. Come to find out, the series perfectly aligns with my reading tastes nowadays. Go figure.

Us against you is the second book in the Beartown series and it's more of political approach. Also I don't want to be the annoying one but his name is pronounced as Fredrik Baakman
