The raven cycle felt like the the first two parts were written by the author herself and the next two were written by her greatest enemy. First two books were awesome but the ending was horrible. Half of the things didn't make sense. Like why did blue amplified psychic powers, what happened to Noah, why he attacked blue and many more.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians was the series that got me started on reading when I was a kid and I still have the 1st copy I ever owned of Lightning Thief too!! I wasn't excited about reading as a kid but that was the series that really started my love for it.

I love watching videos like this because I just love watching people get excited and talk passionately about books its honestly so lovely to watch! As for my favorite series...well if you spend 5 seconds on my channel you'd know its the Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb. I can't even begin to explain what that series means to me, but its currently at the very top of my list. I also love The Lord of the Rings because of all the nostalgia. As well as the Magic Treehouse series and of course Harry Potter. Those are probably the ones that had the biggest impact on me but there are definitely others I can think of that are special too.

@@Yee-xp8bf I can't stress how much it is worth it! (At least to me 😂) definitely start with the moral instruments. I know some people recommend reading them in order of publication but this would mean switching between trilogies at some point which could be a little disruptive? I would say the best way is to start with the first trilogy in the mortal instruments series, then read the infernal devices, then the second trilogy of the mortal instruments, then the tales of shadowhunter academy, then the dark artifices trilogy. There are other books in the Shadowhunter chronicles like the codex and bane chronicles but i think you can read them whenever. I hope that way helpful and you enjoy the series if you do decide to read it! 😁

@@Yee-xp8bf I honestly couldn't pick a favourite! I've also heard people mention that the series gets flack but I've never encountered anyone explaining what about it people don't like. I'll have to look into it. I have had friends who didn't enjoy city of bones and so didn't continue with the series but I once read that 3 times in a row so I completely disagree 😂 i would recommend reading to the first 2/3 books just to get a feel for it and see if you like it 😊

You say that lightning thief is beat up. When my brother and I were younger, we threw books on the car floor, so the front cover of my original is missing and my last olympian has gotten water poured over it by a girl in my class last year.
