Very good question. Tribals of Manipur enjoy far more. They have 90% of the land reserved for them, govt. job reservation, reservation in education opportunities, they don't pay income tax. But the sad part is that the tribal leaders or MLA's don't invest enough for the tribal people and when the tribal people seeks development fund details using RTI, they are given death threats by "the rulers" of the hills. Surely must ring a bell!!

Tangkhul which is considered as one of the most advanced tribe has made the biggest mistake for not giving him another chance. Look anywhere in India you won't find such a leader who could challenge and fight for tribal's rights in the assembly. He was truly a blessing for The Tangkhul and for tribal's as a whole but Tangkhul has made the worst choice. Bartering your right for the fear of NSCN is a coward acts and we tribals will regret this forever. I lost all my respect to the Tangkhul people.
