I did what the video explains with a 2,7 kOhm and it works perfectly! really nice! it provides you the option of choosing between the 3 fly modes. I removed both potentiometer and placed the 3 position switches on that place. I recomend it!

I did the same. This means that you still have the 2 position switch as well and the new 3 position switch where the knob was.

Hi Sure it will work. Due to the limitations of this controller you then need to salvage the other turn pot as well. Ie you have to use both VRa and VRb Br Daniel

i am going to try this to see if it works ..i am using my flysky for a dump trailer and hoping it will work .it seems to work fine on my spektrum dx7 with the 3 pos switch there but i would like to set up another truck to raise and lower the dump bed ..thanks for the video i will let you know how it works

If anyone wants to get the job done quickly then just put the knob in the middle position and connect the three wires coming off of it to the switch so that the switch and the potentiometer is in parallel.Put some hot glue or something to fix the knob's position.I did it and works fine,didn't need to buy anything other than a three way switch.

Hello, great video, i wanna do this mod to a Fs I6 for both VRa and VRb. If the potentiometers are 5K ohm, do you think its best to use two 5k ohm resistors instead of 2.7k to not overcharge the radio negative pole when switch Is in the middle position? Thank you if you will answer me

Hi mate, for the resistors I cannot find the 1/8W with metal film resistors. Is there any different if I used the 1/8W with carbon filmed. I can only found the resistors either 1/4W with metal filmed or 1/8W with carbon filmed. Or what if I used metal film resistors with 1/4W, i.e., 0.25W? Thanks

Why not just remove the pot and put the 3 way switch there and keep the other factory switch?? Also can we use 2.2K resistors?

You can ofcourse put the switch where the turn knob is. I didnt since i wanted mine in the right corner. In my case the best thing would be to move the 2way switch to the position where the knob was. 2,2k should work. Its not that critical. But i dont recomend to go lower. Happy modding!

I did this mod and it worked in the display screen, but with the switch in the up or down position the screen went blank after a second or two, the middle position was ok, strange.

it's a 4 channel controller got a push to no switch and a variable dial switch that can be set up for either channel 3 or 4.

I got it to work, be very light with the solder and DO NOT BUY the blue 3 pin switches, they are car low in quality.

Adam Keely Nice to hear that you got it to work! It is always important to not overheat any component. A good hot iron is needed and solder it quickly. The blue as you say is very generic. There is blue ones that are aeroplane quality as well ;)

Of some reason im not able to actually push "Reply..." Glez: You can use that position. The reason i didnt is because i want that button on the side instead. And yes you can remove the other VR as well. Im planning on another video and create a 4way rotary switch and also perhaps doing so both the switch and the VR knob is actually use able

Adam Keely It might be possible. The module itself is put there in such manner that it might work but i havent done it and will not try either. The reason i wont try is because of the bad quality of the transmiter itsell and would therefore buy a better one instead that already have support for it :)

If they have the same type of layout: yes it does. Its just a matter of taking one of the variable knobs and turning it into a 3way switch

You can make this mod without disabling the knob. Keep the knob where it is. Instead of adding resistors to knob cable make Y connection with 2 resistors one of them 2.7K other one 4.7K. Connect them each outer end of the 3 way switch. Disable 2 way switch. Connect live wire to middle connection of 3 way switch and connect the other wire to middle of 2 resistors. As this guy was doing this I was thinking to myself why not have a 3 way switch that is lowest on 1 position leaves the potentiometer alone in the middle position and highest in the 3rd position but I like your idea better. No point in loosing any functions when this controller can actually do 10 channels and SBUS.

You buy several resistors for example 2k 3.3k 10k and several same 20 and buy a 3 position switch. Take out the potentiometer and put the resistors and the dji program open on the pc so you can see the correct positions that you want to do that works. If you want to get my whatsapp [phone]
