Loved seeing that interaction with you and your mom, Nerd. Very interesting video for those of us in similar situations throughout the years. Also, does anyone know your real name? Or is it proper that we call you nerd?

Appreciated the video. Getting ready to build or rebuild my computer. My computer is well over 10 years old. It was good to have this refresher and get a heads up on some things that have changed. No big deal, and I'm looking to get my computer rebuilt the first of the year. Thanks!

Great video, I really appreciate it. I started a new job and they had lost the cables to connect the monitors. I went to Micro Center to get cables because I have some really old monitors. VGA to HDMI. I got lucky and found some HDMI cables and a connector splitter from two HDMI to one HDMI. What I realized after the fact is that I have a thunderbolt connection on my computer. The problem I'm having is that the laptop only recognize one monitor, meaning it can connect to the laptop and 1 monitor and mirrors the the laptop. I need to be able to have two monitors and the laptop. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 16 with a 4.0 thunderbolt -1, 1- HDMI connection. computer INTEL EVO 2024. Any suggestions on how to make it detect the two monitors.. please help. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.. Carlos.

This has to be one of the best presented and informative videos on KZbin. No “WHATZAPP GUYS” at the beginning. No unclear and muffled dialog but it’s in clear plain English. No stupid video tricks. No annoying music track at the back. A lot of people would do well to learn from this presenting style. For me it works and I have a new computer now 👍👍👍👍

Great video! One thumb's up! The only bad thing I would have to say is why wreck a beautiful computer build with an install of Microsoft Windows? It's been many many years since I have used the Anti American operating system called Microsoft Windows. Windows programs that I do own run perfect on Linux with no issues using a flatpak system install of bottles, or wine and even proton. I prefer using wine, build it from source code.

lmfao. I can assure you that most people who need to watch videos on how to build PCs have 0 clue what Linux is.... Time to get off your high horse....

@@JJFlores197 "Time to get off your high horse...." I beg your pardon. Windows is one of the biggest wastes of hard earn money one can use as a daily personnel computer driver. As a retired airline pilot who flew International flights (35 years just airline) our Linux video systems drove flight attendant briefings and movie videos around the world 24 / 7 for 294 seats on A-330s -200 -300 series. Even the B-747-400s used the same systems because they need reliable systems. On another note you will even NOT see Microsoft system update servers running Windows. I have eight computer builds divide between two of our homes. The security cameras are ran by Linux. Linux is free, open source and extensible meaning that it can do anything. Linux is free and free to use. After 30 plus some years I build systems from source (LFS and Gentoo) if you wish to learn the best way to run a computer and trouble shoot it. I'm in my 70's and learning the hard way with MS broken promises is the hard way to learn computers. :)

@@shutdowncnn6086 All that is great. It still doesn't change the fact that no one has heard of Linux outside of the fanatics and tech enthusiasts.

Another great video. I'm in the process of finishing a new PC build - my third and at age 85, certainly my last. I used your great PC build video to great advantage. My last previous build was 10 years ago and things have certainly changed. My dilemma is wanting to add a front panel 5.25 inch card reader with USB ports but nowhere to plug in the two USB cables as the new case came with front panel USBs that used both motherboard ports. So, I have ordered a PCIe card that I hope will give me the needed ports. I suggest adding that as another option.

Videos like these are a true gift to a beginner like myself! I try to follow along with a 30 min tutorial and theres always that feeling of "wait what about this wire?, rewind those 2 seconds! I think he mentioned it for half a second!" Meanwhile this guy is DEEPLY explaining the usecase of each part and where and when it goes in. im sure some see it as a drag to have such a long video butnnot me! I really really needed this! So thank you 😊
