I’ve bought three marquees from Arcade game factory. They look amazing and are a percision fit! 👍

This video and your tempest video inspired me to do the marquee and volcano button mod on my Asteroids partycade I also replaced the other 5 buttons with white sanwa type, huge difference! If I could post a picture of it on this comment I would Take care

First of all, this was an excellently produced video and thanks for putting it together. I put a 60 in one with a JAMMA setup in my Ms Pac Partycade (I had the PCB and a harness laying around so why not?) I removed my plastic control panel overlay, got some new material from lowes and cut new holes for the buttons (adding a second) and also painting a square in hot pink under the area where the on off and volume controls are so I no longer have holes there, and I mounted a rocker switch under the game. It turned out really nice, so the next step is this marquee. Can I just wire this up to the +5v and ground on the power supply that powers my jamma board? I think all Arcade1ups are 5v aren't they?

Thanks for the tutorial! I followed to a tee and everything came out fine. Is there any way to dim the led panel?

Glad it worked well for you. I’d contact the Arcade Game Factory guys about dimming. They are usually very responsive and may have an option.

I received this Partycade over the weekend. I had planned to purchase this light up marquee for it. But after testing this cabinet, I find the jumpy movement of the paddles, using the dial, to make Warlords, Super Breakout, and Avalanche to be nearly unplayable. Oddly, if you control the paddle with the two buttons on the left of the deck, the paddles move smoothly, like they should. But that is far from the ideal way to play. This has made this cabinet the worst one in my collection. I was hoping Glen's Retro Show's replacement spinner would fix this issue, but viewing his preview video, the paddles are still as jumpy as ever even with his replacement spinner. It's not even mentioned in his video weirdly enough (even though another viewer does mention it in the comments, to which Glen doesn't reply). Tempest works great with the stock spinner. I wonder if it's a software issue. Unfortunately, I don't see Arcade1Up releasing any software update for this unit. Does anyone know if the Pong Pub Table unit has these issues with it's versions of Breakout, Warlords, and Avalanche? That's far more expensive that this Partycade, but if the games play as they should I would consider it. As it stands right now, I'd like to just get rid of this Asteroids Partycade. But it does look very pretty though, so that's something.

Thanks for the note. Yes, the spinner is great for Tempest and not so great for the other spinner games. I’ve figured out how to make it work with warlords, but still can’t get the control I want for super breakout. Glad to hear it’s not just me. I looked long and hard at the pub table, as warlords is a blast with 3 or 4 players, and I watched several review videos on it with no one mentioning the spinner problems, but I’ve got to think it’s the same one. It seems to be the same on my Tempest legacy cabinet as well. If you hit upon a workable solution, please let me know! Thanks.

@@PoppArtstudios This is not a perfect solution, but it's all we can hope for: I bought the GRS Spinner from Amazon for $39.99 (Arcade Spinner for Arcade1Up, Thunderstick Brand). I also purchased the REQUIRED upgrade board for $19.99 (Arcade1up Partycade Upgrade Board for GRS v2 Spinner(TS-USP-01/02) Limited Release, Tsticks Brand). The spinner has 4 sensitivity settings on the board. The one that worked best for me was the 64 Pulse/Per Rotation setting. The others were either too slow or way too fast. Warlords is pretty close to perfect now. Super Breakout is now playable, still not perfect but a huge improvement. The jitter is still there but is now manageable and not as obvious. Avalanche is better, but is still pretty poor in performance. It's better, but the worst of the 3 games. I wish we could adjust the sensitivity on the fly, because I think we could get Avalanche working better with a higher sensitivity setting. I've been told that it's an emulation issue with these games and they will never be 100% unless a firmware upgrade is released. I spoke to an Arcade1Up rep and they said they do not plan on any firmware upgrades for this cabinet. Now that I'm relatively satisfied with the performance of this Partycade, I ordered the same light up Marquee that you have in the video.

Thanks for the note. Carefully go over the harness connections again. I had the same problem at first because I’d gotten two of the plus on the harness plugged in the wrong order. If wired correctly, the marquee will only come on when power is turned on. Hopefully that will help you. Good luck.
