Jason Lewis - Mind Amend

Күн бұрын

You can use this track to help provide some relief from the symptoms of ADD/ADHD and as background music for a study aid.
► Get the MP3 version here (ambient 108) - www.mindamend....
► 'Just Tones' version without any music - • ADD/ADHD Intense Relie... .
This isochronic tones music session is designed to speed up your brain while keeping your left brain hemisphere dominant. This is helpful for increasing concentration, attention and reducing emotional response and hyperactivity in those with ADD/ADHD.
► Subscribe to my channel and be updated with my latest tracks:
www.youtube.com...
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are usually characterized by "slow-wave" EEG patterns, particularly in the left frontal region. This session stimulates the left brain hemisphere with a much higher frequency than the right, which helps to correct a hemispheric imbalance.
Note: Each brain hemisphere controls the opposite side of the body. So to stimulate the left brain hemisphere the frequency is played in the 'right ear', and to stimulate the right hemisphere that frequency is sent to the 'left ear'.
Both ears start with the 10Hz frequency, which gradually ramps up until the 15-minute mark. At this stage, the right ear (left brain hemisphere) receives 40Hz for 5 minutes and the left ear (right brain hemisphere) receives 14Hz. As this is an extended session, a similar cycle is then repeated 9 times throughout the 3-hour track. You don't have to listen for the full 3 hours and can stop at any time. However, I do recommend you listen for at least 20 minutes to get the full effect of the first frequency cycle.
Headphones/Earbuds Are Required
As this session stimulates each ear with a different frequency, you do need to wear headphones/earbuds to get the full effect.
What volume level?
The main thing to consider is that it should be loud enough to hear the repetitive isochronic tones, so you don't want it so quiet you can hardly hear them. But you also don't want it so loud that it's uncomfortable for you and hurts your ears, or gives you a headache. I'd recommend starting with the volume around halfway and adjust it to a level that you feel comfortable with from there. It does depend on your equipment though, halfway on some devices may be too high, on others not high enough. That's why it's difficult to give specific volume advice.
► If you are new to this type of audio brainwave entrainment, find out how isochronic tones work and how they compare to binaural beats here: www.mindamend.c....

I work in a children's school library, and often times teachers will send kids who have trouble focusing into the library to fend for themselves (it's quiet, they won't be distracted, right? ha!). When I play this video I notice a difference with 95% of kids in less than five minutes, I don't tell them, I don't make it loud or soft, just start playing it, and they settle down and are able to work. Thank you!

I was severely traumatized years ago as a teenage, got diagnosed with ADHD. Spent my whole life fighting ADHD. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

I'm so very happy for you, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

Just a reminder for my ADHD crew: You are NOT lazy, (you're also not a perfect genius goldenchild), you are a lovable human being with talents and flaws and you deserve as much love and respect as everyone else. Your brain is wired different, because diversity is health. You, who is good at finding problems, hunting, nightwatch, pattern recognition, berry picking, creative solutions, art, and philosophy! The world needs you as much as it needs anyone else, even if you can't fold your laundry! Always be open to asking for the help you need, even if people make you feel like a burden. Same here, just found out that I have ADHD at 33. I have gotten to a place where the stress of last minute work is no longer working (It used to be my strong point). Now, even if I have critical task that need to be done, I don't really care ... I'll put it off until the day in question, and then complete apathy for the consequences. My therapist recommends some concentration sounds, it's shown that it works sometime. I hope everyone can overcome this and come out better and stronger.

@Loco Zen no, mental/neurological disorders aren't just about how much energy you have or how you feel. most of them are literally caused by measurable imbalances of chemicals in the brain. it's not just some label to describe your behavior, it is a real thing that has actual meaning. if you really don't believe they are real you should do some actual research on them.

Five years ago, at the age of 30, I quit my job and decided that it was time to embark on a new adventure. This adventure led me to university, and the goal was to become a history teacher. Being the first one in my family (and circle of friends) to ever reach such a level of education, I was definitely on my own. On top of that, I had just been diagnosed with ADHD, something that became even more apparent to me when I had to study for long periods of time. And then, one day, I found this video. The calming effect it had on me almost felt supernatural, amazing even. Now, here I sit, five years later, writing on my master’s thesis next to my four remaining classmates (our initial group consisted of 30 students!). And I still find myself coming back seeking this soothing, warm blanket of a musical therapy. I do not know why I felt like writing this, maybe to show my gratitude to the uploader of this video. Or, to serve as an example to anyone thinking about giving up. Don’t. Yes, it is hard. Yes, it can be physically and emotionally draining. However, always remind yourself: it will be worth it.

Also now in my 30s, I very much share your thoughts. Coming back to the academia and now working on my master's thesis, together with my parent's passing lately, my therapist told me I might have ADHD. I never noticed that and always thought I was lazy/demotivated about what I'm supposed to love to do so much (the subject I'm doing, and reading in general). Reading through the lines of a paper and being able to take them in take me triple time more than my friends. I was then told by my university that there are actually almost 20 thousands students plus academics recorded of having ADHD. Although finding this out takes me 30 years, we're not alone.

gonna be honest, i actually started crying my ADD has been extremely bad lately, my grades are nearly failing and i've been so stressed trying to bring them back up my mind is constantly racing, i want to do so many things at once, i've forced myself into multiple art projects and i'm wanting to both do nothing and at the same time practice extensive self care, i'm tired and drained, so just to listen to something that genuinely does soothe and slow my mind to where i can actually focus on my own thoughts just makes me realize how bad my ADD can get it feels like someone is just massaging my brain and ears, and it's causing me to lose a lot of tensity i held in my arms and stuff i'm so tired, man ADD is extremely draining

I feel you. I am in the exact same boat. Online school is so rough. I have so many projects or tasks 1/2 done and I'm so behind in all of my classes it's scary. I started my masters this semester and I don't know if I can finish it like this. I've been on meds for so long, I feel like they don't work anymore. I wish there was ADHD counselling for quarantine. The only things I find that help are spending time outside and exercising, but it never feels helpful until I actually do it.

Oh man... rest assured, it's nothing you can blame yourself for, and you're not alone! I just lost my job recently because the ADD couple with a semi-absent authoritarian father in my childhood gave me some serious issues with low self esteem. But after being let go, I have had my fingers in sooo many 5 minute projects... just exploding the idea into play, only to let it sink into nothing. I need to be better at this myself, but I find that it helps a lot to go for a long walk (like 5 miles or so) in the forest. Leave the phone at home. No music... just go. Get into nature, and re-charge. It's almost like meditating for me, because I can let my thoughts run, and I can adress some of the severe overthinking that otherwise occurs. I'm sure we will get to the other side, right now, it just might seem like we are rowing aimlessly around. But take a deep breath and hold on, and keep rowing.

me too, my adhd was getting really bad and I'm not really getting it treated so I just looked up "adhd music" and I started listening to this and my brain just started to... calm down, and it felt so nice, I've been trying to calm down for like an hour. I started crying like 20 seconds in.

Same!! Everything about this, same. I really recommend watching asmr at night to wind down if you don't already. Two of my favorites for talking/mouth noises are Batala's asmr and Gentle Whispering asmr, and two of my favorites for no-talking asmr are Viva asmr and asmr Ppomo. Also, just to note, not all asmr is made for sleep! A good portion is, but plenty of it can be put on in the background while you study and work similarly to this video. You definitely don't have to watch them if you don't want to but as a person who has been dealing with my unmedicated adhd for a long time i credit these artists for helping me maintain my sanity lol. Wishing u peace and focus :)

I’m so happy for you! I know that feeling although I’ve only experienced it once or twice. Hopefully this video helps me get back to that state. I’m only 3 minutes in so far. Is it still helping you the same after the first time? I literally have the sammmee debilitating symptoms you mentioned right down to the specific words of “actually cleaning” without worrying about side jobs that always come up in the middle of every little thing. Lol if you’re like me your house is a messsssss so being able to actually clean let alone do it easily & peacefully while even welcoming the side quests. Medication helps a lot with that experience but only at a 30 mg dose for me which suckkks bc I metabolize it differently so one pill lasts only 3 or 4 hours & since I have 12 hour days, my Dr prescribed me 3 times per day instead of 2 and the pharmacies are like nope we won’t fill this!! So to get through the 12 hours I have to break the 30 in half and taking only 15 doesn’t provide any symptom relief whatsoever. It only activates pure panic and anxiety bc I’m feeling like a complete failure with all of the things i need to be doing on my mind- all of the things all at once and all while knowing I can’t perform the way I need to perform and inevitable failure always ensues. Idk if you even take medication lol I guess i had to get that off my chest! Your symptoms sound like mine so I feel like we’re instant friends 🙃

Accurate, For people who don’t know, a weighted blanket helps people relax and reset the nervous system. They can be purchased or made by hand. It’s often used to help people on the autism spectrum. It’s great for anxiety. It provides “deep pressure” which mimics the feeling on being snuggled or hugged. It can be really healing for people living alone during the pandemic 😷 ❤️

I am 66 yrs old and was recently told by my Doctor that I have been living with undiagnosed ADHD all of my life. I can tell you a couple of things about my life, it has been Amazing! I followed my own interests. I never let people's judgements convince me that I was something I wasn't or allow myself to become someone whose self belief and worth depended on other people's opinions of me. I had different interests from most of my classmates as a kid, but I explored my interests by myself or occasionally with someone I might meet who shared an interest or two with me. I never ignored my own path to follow the crowd and although I was thrilled to meet someone who shared some interest or hobby with me, I was never disappointed or feeling left out by the crowd. I always liked being me, even though sometimes it seemed as though just being yourself draws all kinds of criticism and even insults from others, there was Nothing in my life that I would have traded just to fit in with the crowd. When I was a kid in school, we were strapped for very many small and unjustifiable reasons, I know now that the main reason was for the teacher's purpose, they had no other tool in their toolbox that they could use to establish Crowd Control of a classroom full of kids. These days, I believe, that the teachers position has not gifted them with any new tools to replace that Strap they've been deprived of and since kids are still kids and teachers are still dealing with exactly the same problems as they did in years gone by, I believe they've been making their lives easier by talking to parents and Doctors about their problem, which is. They believe themselves to be Great Teachers as they were Great Students but who would believe that when so many kids are floundering in School? Their own sense of self preservation, I think, has led them to claim that while they are Great teachers despite the numbers of children and students who fail, it's simply because those kids "Just can't Learn" Why would that be? Because they just can't focus on the drivel the curriculum forces me to teach them one and all, when no two think alike...that's what I think has become the conversation talking points....the teachers are great, the curriculum is scintillatingly interesting but half of the kids just can't seem to Focus on most of the subjects long enough to learn, they start fidgeting and doodling (out of boredom?) and distract the rest of the class. Then the parents teacher day causes stress in all of the Parents, they get the suggestion that their kid should maybe be seen and tested for ADHD and sure enough, the next thing you know, half the kids or more and all being medicated to get along in their classes. I'm starting to think that the old strap was a lot easier on our minds than the diagnosis and medications have been on yours. When some teacher strapped me, in the back of my mind, I always thought that there was something wrong with that teacher doing that to us kids. These days, after you've been seen and told any of a multitude of things are Wrong With You and you have been duly medicated and left believing that something was wrong with You. that's a Horrible thing to plant in a young persons mind. We had a lot of violence to live with and a lot of hard work to do, but we never heard of kids suffering from anxiety or panic attacks or needing to be medicated to allow us to focus on many things that no kid in it's right mind would want to spend two minutes focusing on. Make sure that you don't take all the judgements and labels to heart, Believe in yourself, you've got two arms and two legs like everyone else and you can do whatever anyone else can, as long as You really want to. If you don't believe me, check it out, a great number of successful people, really successful people have been told they have ADHD, including most of those who work in Silicon Valley, some of the most famous techie names you ever heard of, they got so good at something because they were great at focusing on that thing, which could be all about computers or programming, or observing nature or farming, or painting, or anything at all. Don't let being "different" cause you to look at yourself in any way other than as an Original Masterpiece. Those are not always recognized immediately by the masses, but once they are, they can often go from being shunned to being adored, look at Van Gough and many many others, what they went through just because they were different and nobody was able to recognize their greatness, that wasn't their fault, it didn't make them less great, they believed in themselves, not what others thought about them. You Do that Too, if you don't do anything else, Get your own back!

I get your point and it’s great you didn’t have issues holding you back in life. I’m 40 and just self-diagnosed, and many parts of life have been affected after doing fine at school. In the past people didn’t talk about mental health much or understand it or neurodivergence, and they don’t often understand them well now either. Hitting kids, I can’t say much cos it sends me to places, I can’t stand the notion that’s it in any way okay or not harmful, I know you weren’t saying that exactly and you’re right that the emotional abuse from lack of understanding for a kid’s whole childhood is just as bad, possibly worse, but hitting kids causes them so much emotional pain too and teaches them awful things about themselves, others and the world. The generational trauma of it too, damn.

I have ADHD and BPD. This is a blessing for someone like me who is always anxious and very emotional. But what really amazes me is how quiet my mind is, I feel like I can feel time pass for the first time. Like I'm not lost in the white noise that is my everyday reality. After 20 minutes of listening to this, I've been able to solve a problem that's been bugging me for two weeks now. And with just two days to the deadline and tomorrow being my birthday, this is a birthday present. I'm so happy about this. Thank you.

I was 17 when I was diagnosed with ADHD and 24 when I was diagnosed with autism. It’s not just something kids have. You should have a look at ADHD(PI) specifically. It’s what I have and it’s most commonly missed. It presents differently and is the rarer form. It doesn’t have the hyperactivity of the body that you see in little kids. It’s more a hyperactivity of the mind. Everyone just thought I was lazy or unorganised or forgetful. Please update with how you diagnosis process goes. I’d love to watch the progress.

ADHD noob here. I was diagnosed last August and I just happened to see something cool about certain music and tones that help people with ADHD on TikTok so, here I am! And, OMG!!! I've been sitting at my desk for the last three hours talking on the phone and I noticed that I was more controlled about interrupting, I was actually able to listen to what people were saying without drifting off chasing a thought bubble. I was even able to take notes while they were talking, I could repeat back to them what they said and everything. IDK what sorcery this is, but I like it. Thanks so much!

Call psychiatrists near you and ask tell them you are looking for an adhd specialist. If you make the mistake of going to a doc who knows little about it, you might have a similar experience I originally had. And you don’t want that trust me lol. Lots of gaslighting and pure ignorance from a dude so sure of himself the contradiction is so extreme is huuurts. Lol just being around him was soo toxic . Felt very judged. He prescribed me medication but never care d about my symptom relief. Thennn I saw a neuropsychiatrist who specializes in adhd. He told me the low low dose of medicine I was on was actually the reason for my anxiety level being so high. He upped my dosage a bit and he was right- all my anxiety literally disappeared like magic and no anxiety meds were taken for days. I completely forgot I even had them as an option- that’s how extraordinary & extreme the shift was. Anxiety that before was causing panic attacks was all of the sudden poof, gone ! All bc I was finally on the right dose of adhd meds. I went to the first horrible Dr for like 10 years so was in awe of the new one ; I thought all drs would be like the original. Now though pharmacies aren’t dispensing my prescribed dose bc they say it’s too high. Screw what the Dr says, they’re in charge apparently lol. So I’m back down to the same low dose I was on before so I can get through a 12 hour day. Rarw! Anyway some advice for your first appt: memorize Every single one of your symptoms. Its super difficult for us adhders to think of everything we need to include on the spot in the moment bc our executive functioning makes it super hard to organize our thoughts especially in a sequential manner and in a way that lists most debilitating symptoms first. I talk about the worst things as an afterthought usually. So write everything down & make sure you tell them your exact life situation & work or school life that is being affected by your symptoms. Just listing symptoms makes some docs think someone memorized the Dsm just to get diagnosed so always relate each one to a specific experience you have often or had recently. Most docs don’t go through the extensive testing for it- just self reported symtoms and they watch how you behave during appt. My new Dr said he noticed I kept looking out the window & said I kept interrupting him so he knew within 10 min my original diagnoses was on point. I have to say something as soon as I think it or I’ll forget it forever lol It was easier in my case bc I was going to him with an established diagnosis already but my original Dr diagnosed me with it after hearing that my pediatrician told my mom when I was super young that I likely had it but she decided against medication. & bc I was book smart, I got through school successfully until college when the coursework & time load changed drastically. Apparently that’s a reallllly common thing with ADHDers; that surprised me. Anyway don’t worry about the appt at all; ask for an adhd specialist only and you’ll be fine. If you truly have adhd & it sounds like you do it’ll be obvious to the Dr but worst case scenario if they won’t diagnose you, call a different psychiatrist. Hopefully your health insurance is goodish or at least has Optum

It sounds a lot like adHd. I thought the same and was even diagnosed but never knew what ADHD was or how it affected my life. Watch some videos on KZbin about INNATTENTIVE type ADHD. You don't have to be the kid who couldn't physically sit still, you could be the kid who never paid attention but got good grades anyway, etc. Do yourself a favor and do your own research because most doctors aren't. If you do end up at your family doctor, speak up and let them know that it is NOT normal to spend 4 hours trying to unload the dishwasher lol.

But I don't really get a lot done, I just bounce around and never finish anything. End up down countless rabbit holes. Over 100 tabs open at sometimes. Sometimes I wish somebody could just kinda phase through my skull and give my brain a loving deep tissue massage to work out all the kinks and knots and tense areas. Get the blood flowing through the whole thing evenly again. So far, this music is one of the things that come closest to what I imagine a cerebral massage must feel like.

I'm really sorry to hear that... My boyfriend has been living with completely untreated ADHD for over 30 years. He was also diagnosed by teachers and psychiatrists through the school system. But his parents didn't get him treatment because of stigma, naysayers that said the meds would be a gateway drug to dangerous recreational drugs in the future, and limited resources. Despite average to high intelligence, he was never able to be mainstreamed. He missed out on so much foundational education. And he ended up falling into various phases of serious drug and alcohol abuse throughout his late teens, 20s, and early 30s until just a couple years ago, because he was essentially self medicating with drugs and alcohol. Turns out, studies are starting to show that ADHDers who are not properly medicated during their youth are more likely to abuse substances than ADHDers who received proper medication earlier on. The assumption is that it's partially for self-medicating to ease their symptoms as well as to deal with the low self esteem, anxiety, and depression that often comes from the consequences of untreated ADHD. Given his struggle to maintain a steady income, he couldn't afford insurance or out of pocket treatment. His emotional symptoms have improved to some degree with awareness and mindfulness. But his attention, hyperactivity, and executive dysfunction have been hard to manage. Recently, while searching for affordable options for treatment, I found a couple telemedicine companies that are focused on ADHD. They're not the most comprehensive - ideally my boyfriend would have the full gamut of treatment including cbt, talk therapy, life coaching, and meds. But he can't afford most of that yet. All these telemedicine companies can really do for now are let you meet with a doctor for assessment, prescribe if it's appropriate, do followup meetings about once a month to find the right dosage, and take questions via messaging in between. They don't take insurance. But it's the most affordable option I've found so far. One of them is called Ahead and the other is called DoneFirst. We went with Done. I estimate that including assessment, meetings, and prescription costs, it'll cost us roughly $1200-1400 for the first year and about $1000-1200 for subsequent years. I can't vouch for either of them yet because he's just started with Done and we haven't even been able to fill his Rx yet because of nationwide (U.S.) ADHD med shortages. But we'll see how the meds work for him and how the followup meetings and service go. Anyway, all this to say, I'm sorry that you're going through this and I hope your parents at least let you try treatment. I have friends and acquaintances who have ADD/ADHD. Some have been receiving medication since they were young and they thrived in school and are thriving in their careers. Another friend was medicated during childhood and early adulthood but decided to go off medication and use more holistic approaches - but it's only possible for him because he was able to learn the necessary skills to function while on meds and now he uses things like mindfulness, coaching, and meditation. This was also only available for him because he came from an affluent family that got him really comprehensive treatment from a young age. I have an acquaintance who has ADD and he did OKAY in school but still struggled and always felt like an impostor. But he finally got diagnosed and treated with medication in his early 20s and he's been making a lot of progress in his career and can even work on music on the side. Even though my boyfriend is already in his early 30s, and he's missed out on a lot of learning and experiential opportunities, I'm hoping that this is a new beginning for him to live a healthy life and to be able to pursue and achieve his goals. Good luck.

What risks are they worried about? There certainly are risks, but most people worry it will be a gateway to other stimulant drugs. However, people with unmedicated ADHD are much more likely to get addicted to drugs. Our brains are literally missing chemicals we need. Using stimulants to put us at a "normal" level isn't addictive like neurotypical people using stimulants to get a high. It is similar to addiction in the sense that when your brain is working better you don't want to go back to how it was.

Tony Demetriou Yeah, my parents are worried about me getting addicted to it- They obviously have not done their research. They are also worried about the 1% chance that it could cause me to have heart problems even though I’m very physically healthy and out family has no history of heart issues. It feels like they are almost making up reasons for me to not get medicated... Either way, at my next doctor’s appointment I will be bringing up my ADHD with my doctor whether my parents like it or not and hopefully he can knock some common sense into my parents.

I've been reading the comments (getting distracted lol) but your guy's stories are touching and know that you're not alone! I'm not clinically diagnosed with Adhd or Add but I believe I have the inattentive type. Today I was supposed to get some work done for my remote job. But instead, I watched makeup videos ( shoutout to Auntie Jackie) knowing that I had work to be done. I just felt unmotivated, dumb, stupid, and overthinking the tasks in my head. Growing up I've always been the last one to do things and called lazy by my family, but to know now that my "laziness" was probably because of anxiety, and or Adhd, I'm learning to be gentler with myself and take each day one step at a time, listening to my intuition and following my heart and allow my intuition to guide me along the way. We are not perfect, so let's allow, give ourselves permission to experience life with all that it comes, with love, compassion, light, anxiety, add, ADHD, depression, joy, courage, and many more. YOU GOT THIS! YOU GOT THIS! YOU GOT THIS! YOU GOT THIS!! This music sounds soothing and hopefully, I'll find the motivation to get my work done.

Andy Solis holy shit bro, personally I have actually AADD (anxious attention deficit disorder) and I tried all the methods or ideas that could possibly help, only medication can help such as adderall, until I stumbled upon this. For the first time in my life, actually 4hrs ago I was in server anxiously and full of anxiety as I arranged a “night walk talk” with a person whom I don’t really know much of. Than I decide to sleep for 2hours while listing with Bose IQ II on during my sleep. The moment I woke up, I remember what the fuck happen during my sleep, I kid you not. I had a lucid dream, so real and intense that o actually manage to control and live as if it was reality, my fucking god. To add to that I never ever felt so focus, so hyped that it was actually comparable as if I took adderall. Anxiety, depression, anxious- in fact all negativity seize to exist. I was the opposite of negativity, you could say the moment I walk in a door full of stranger that I give this positive aura. I had a long walk with a friend discussing everything, and man I was those type of kids that can’t come up what to say or anything, Infact I’m usually the quiet one and listen. Instead in this situation I was the talker and my friend was the listener. I could possibly say this has change my personality to the degree everyone wants to be with me than away. I’m so happy and focus it’s stupid how this works, I tried many thinks and yet eat any noticeable results and my god. This thing works, I thought this was bullshit as it stated ADD/ADHD relief. Man this is more than a relief, this a drug 😭. At the time of written long this, it’s been 5hours sense I woke up from that lucid dream and still the effect is almost the same as if I woke up. Infact all my sense is enhanced, music, sense of perspective and perception, taste (I ate way too much and notice the flavor has been enchanted to such a degree that eating cereal is as good as eating a multi course buffet at a 4star restaurants), and all aspects of yourself is general enchanted greatly. I had never ever been so happy to say this is the best natural method to helping one, than that of drugs. Thank you for uploading this video as it has saved my life legitimately🤘

I was diagnosed just seven months ago at the age of 71. I am finishing up my masters program in forensic psychology and began struggling (more than usual) in the last 18 months. I began having trouble with depression. My “Better Half” had been telling me I should get evaluated for ADHD. Anyway, I have been dealing with a lot of adjustments so am glad there are other methods to deal with our diagnosis. I think just jotting my feelings down and listening to the music has calmed me down. Thank you for the opportunity to vent.

I'm currently a 4th year medical student preparing for my step 2 board exam and I randomly saw this video on the side while trying arduously to find something as beautiful as this is for my mente. I wish I had more time to read through these comments (classic ADHD problem) but I'm touched and honored to be a member of such a warm, welcoming, misunderstood and positive population of neuro-atypicals. I'm applying for residency in psychiatry with hopes of focusing on ADHD treatment. I was diagnosed and treated in 5th grade and ever since then, my life has been a constant roller coater of emotions, behavior adaptations, and personal growth. Not to mention the constant personal battle of psychopharmacology and finding out what works best for you... as there are so many options. Anyways, back to grinding. As much of a struggle it can be sometimes, its nice to know we're not alone in this journey. Keep on being you! side note, I think without ADHD people, the world would be a lot more boring place, we're kind of like the spice of life... and no one wants to eat bland food

I was diagnosed with ADHD in 3rd grade and will be applying to med school. I'm daunted but hope I'll be accepted. I can no longer tolerate stimulant medication so I have been trying to figure out other techniques to mitigate my deficits. Thanks for your comment Nikolai its inspirational.

I have all the symptoms of adhd , and I am a 31 yr old Software engineer. I am wondering if instead of suppressing our brains we should rather harness our ability to hyper-focus . I have had moments in my academic life with hyper-focus it feels as if you are a genius and the whole world has slown down. Should we be pursuing meditation and improving on mind-body connection? an advanced yogi can make his/her mind feel anything he/she wishes they can slow down their mind and body at the same time feel bliss/joy at any moment regardless of the external conditions. Should we be focusing on training our minds to similar achieve similar feats? if we could feel joy /bliss at any time we wanted then maybe we would no longer have tasks where we feel the lack of positive feelings and dopamine and then ADHD could be an asset vs an hinderance

@@MrSurfangler Hi Durvsh; A client of mine recommended this particular entry(Nice). You are are correct in wanting to further develop your abilities; though remember, all of life is about relationship and relationships. I believe THIS is what life for humans and humanity and the universe(our world) is about. ADHD is only a Name that identifies intra/interpersonal processing. Jung was not so much into "identifying" personality types and stories but expanding upon the whole field of each individuals/persons competency of relationships, experience and expression. Seek experience in developing your abilities but realize that your abilities are simmering in a soup of potential relationships. Keep stirring the pot!

I was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age and reconfirmed in the later years. I literally looked up “ADHD stopping the songs in your head” and I felt kinda crazy doing it but it was a last resort before I lost my marbles. I just want to sleep. I’m so glad I found this. It was like a moth light for the disorderly part of my brain. It was drawn to the sounds and I was finally able to hear only one line of thought. It was a very cool experience. Thank you for creating something for the community. It was freeing to see what it was like to instantly silence the madness. It’s amazing to have a resource that I can utilize if I just want to focus on one thing rather than constantly trying to stop something repeating and failing. I’ve accepted that I have ADHD and value it, but sometimes you want the ehem side effects to dissipate for a little bit :)) …Idk, did I say thank you yet? Thank you :))

@@andrebranco3402 I've been studying brainwave entrainment and how isochronic tones can affect our brainwave activity since 2006 (www.mindamend.com/about-mind-amend/). I learned a lot of what I know from a company called Transparent Corp, who were pioneers in this field with their brainwave entrainment software. It was through them that I first heard about studies relating to ADD/ADHD, and how people with that type of condition often experience a higher amount of slow wave theta activity in the left brain. They had designed a brainwave entrainment session for ADD/ADHD based on that research. I used that original track as the basis for creating this extended session.
