The cycling group I'm in has a sewing night coming up & I'm 100% doing this to one of my short sleeve shirts I wear in the warmer months. Perfect spot for an extra bottle & a camera lens.

I do a little basic sewing, but never thought doing a jersey pocket would be that simple! They always look kinda a bit bunched and full-bodied between the stitch rows. I have a few unbike things I wear on the bike and this is exactly what I need!

Haha. What a coincidence to run into this video. I am adding back pockets to a flannel shirt for my friend for Christmas gift! I was thinking of adding a zipper, too, but your idea is simpler... 🤔 Thanks for the idea!

Dustin, I love your explanation videos. The no nonsense instructional and informative videos that you do on these topics are great, and the tone is distinct from your other work. As someone who's always making and trying to figure out how to make things, I understand how this field can be intrinsically important to happiness. Although they aren't taken deathly seriously, the delivery is perfect and compliments the rest of your channel. Thanks, from Ireland.

fantastic I love sewing I'm going to use this as inspiration to add an interior pocket to my patagucci houdini ... which is in desperate need of some additional storage. A good alternative to a pen or pencil is a small shard of bar soap. Spit shine to remove!

As a mountain biker I've always avoided cycling tops but after being given one for a charity ride they're really handy. This Uber useful video will help me add pockets to anything. Question for the class, would it be wrong to add pockets to my Ramones t shirt?

You can make lines for cut by a soap, just heavily used one for thinner lines
@juanaq2 жыл бұрын
to get this done on cycling jerseys or jackets, i'd make sure to get a sewing machine that allows elastic sewing. another cycling related thing i do with some of my everyday clothing (if you are not into skinny jeans): you can sew (or press) a tiny snap button on the end of the right leg of your trousers. whenever yo go riding you can fold the fabric and snap it tight around your ankle, and it wil never get caught on the chain or dirty with grease.

I've wanted to try this ever since seeing some of your modded cycling wear. Speaking of which a little video or Insta post featuring those would be great for inspiration! Are technical fabrics harder to work with than cotton T's?

Poly t shirts work well. Thinner material is always harder but not impossible.
