Hello Beautiful People
This is my first time speaking on camera and I have to say it was quite nerve wracking. It's never come naturally to me... I tend to have a mental block about it for some weird reason, but today I pushed through for you.
Today, I show you how to grunge up some acetate or transparency film using 4 fool proof techniques. Each of these techniques give you varying results, so feel free to pick the ones you like best.
I hope you all enjoy the video. If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments.

What a cool effect you’ve created. I will certainly experiment with this idea. I’ve been doing some alcohol inks with hand sanitizer and the TH lift reinker on my gel plate this week having so much fun. I always love trying new techniques. I have been enjoying your digitals so much. I love the distressed grungy look so they are perfect for me. I look forward to more of your tutorials as well.

Thank you again for your very informative content. I prefer to work with smart objects to keep everything non destructive and at unkompressed size. There are a lot of ways aroud traditional masks. Interesting workflow though!..

Great techniques. I don’t have the Tim Holtz glass mat, but would a silicone baking mat essentially work the same way? I believe they have the same woven look to them. I purchased some of your digitals the other day and I think this will work quite well. Can’t wait for more great videos! New sub here.

I’m sure a silicone mat would work, or even just a glass, marble, mirrored table top. And for the texture you can experiment with many different materials, maybe even fabric. Let me know how it all works out for you.

@@vibeofvintage I just checked my acetate and I didn’t get any tackiness. Could I be doing something wrong?
@vibeofvintage
@vibeofvintage Жыл бұрын
@@julief4132 did you try both sides? If not do that and if you have then my only suggestion would be to get 100% clear transparency film. The ones you can run through inkjet printers. These come with a tacky side for printing onto.
@julief4132
@julief4132 Жыл бұрын
@@vibeofvintage I’ll look into the transparency film.

Question...do you need to use the tacky side of acetate down for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th methods?
@vibeofvintage
@vibeofvintage Жыл бұрын
Yes. Tacky side down so it can lift the ink up.
