Thanks for making this process visible ! I have 1998 XKR and planning to do something similar with it. I don't drive that so often but as you say if this helps give low and mid range more juice to the experience then it worth the efforts. The sound of the supercharger is amazing but as you said, without this pulley modification upgrade we might enjoy that less. Also thinking about both pulleys upgraded(upper and this at the bottom/crank pulley/) What are your thoughts on that? Would that be too much? Or just pointless? I have seen that Powerhouse upper pulley upgrade for 157pounds offers around 10% increase in the low and mid range and boosts the pressure about 2.5psi. Also have read somewhere that if someone plans to change both pulleys have to upgrade the cooling as well. More power - more engine + supercharging cooling will be required.

Thanks for your feedback. I considered the upper pulley upgrade but you need to grind down the snout of the SC to get the smaller pulley to fit. I opted not to do that for only a modest increase in boost. The lower pulley upgrade provides 60% more boost than upper if I recall correctly. Keep in mind, the faster the SC spins the more heat it creates, so to upgrade both pulleys will require a larger intercooler and possibly upgraded fans, etc.

Great video. How about measuring 100-200? Or 0-100? Or measuring exact power and torque?

Great video! Curious why you elected for the larger lower pulley as opposed to the smaller upper pulley? I just purchased the smaller upper pulley for my 02 XKR. I saw the option you chose as well but figured the smaller upper was the easier job. Maybe I am wrong? Enquiring minds want to know... I also purchased the performance air intake tube but elected to keep the stock airfilter intake after some of the guys on the Jag forum suggested I avoid the "upgrade filter".

Thanks for your feedback! Two reasons I did not go with upper pulley: 1. you have to grind the snout of the SC. It's aluminum so not terrible amount of effort but has some room for error and makes a mess. Plus the pulley is press fitted so getting the old one off takes a flame torch. 2. the upper pulley upgrade gives a bit over 1/2 the boost as the lower. I did the same with the performance air intake as I kept getting fuel too lean codes.

@@kiphome1 Good luck with your upgrade project! No, I didn't do a video for the intake upgrade and now my car is back to factory. I never could find a vacuum leak so not sure what the problem was but these old jags were not built to be modified and are very sensitive.

@@kiphome1no sorry I meant the intake is back to factory. The supercharger upgrade is still in and runs like a champ.
