This video covers how to fit a Paramount Performance high grade stainless steel upgraded supercharger pulley
Fitting of these pulleys is not really a DIY job and should be completed by a competent mechanic. A full fitting service is available for all of the VIEZU and Paramount Performance performance upgrades, exhaust systems and tuning. However, if you intend to arrange your own fitting, this video may assist with details of how the job is best performed

Hi, we will be happy to help, you don't need to change the map for only the upper pulley, though you do if you change the lower one, but if you had it tuned with us, and you buy the pulley from us, we upgrade the map for you free of charge

What code number NAME of the supercharger serpentine belt or the two that are in the engine? What code for this supercharged pulley? Did you buy on EBAY?

For the upper pulley you can still use the stock belt, when fitting the lower pulley too you need a longer belt, we have these especially made, please mail us at [e-mail] if we can help with anything

Hi Question I have a rover L405 3.0 supercharged Once the original pullybus removed dobI have to mill down the snot end v4 heating up the new pulley on? Or? For the 3.0 It's just a heat up and slide on the water cool? Just wondering bc I read the 5.0 Has to be shaved /milled down Thanks alot

Thank you for getting in touch with us. As the supercharger snout is cast rather than machined these can have high & low spots. In the large majority of cases the pulley does spin freely without issue. The snout can be sanded to level the high spots so the pulley can spin without catching, however this would need to be be determined by your installer before heat fitting the pulley to the snout. I was told by Jake you don’t need to file down the 5.0 supercharger snout on the Range Rover sport during install. Is this true?

Yes correct, we do check them though as we have seen them sometimes with some high spots from the casting, these are quite easily removed, but best to check before fitting.

Hey guys, I have a 2010 RRS 5.0 L S/C and I’m new to mods. I have DIYed the intakes to open air to increase the S/C whine. This modification seems like a nice way to start into the mechanical side of modding. Do you guys sell the upper pulleys? And why are remaps/tuning so expensive 😭😭 I’m not complaining I just want to know the reasoning behind the pricing. Thank you.

@kevinc4325 Many thanks for your comment Kevin. If you are looking for the top pulley for your XFR, you do not necessarily need to have your charge cooler upgraded. Upgrading your charge cooler will increase your engines ability to draw air in more efficiently and resist heat soak for longer. You will still see significant gains on your torque and power with our Viezu Tuning and Paramount Supercharger Pulley upgrade. if you heat new pulley and install, doesn't it melt oilseal on pulley bearing?

in theory if you left the pulley hot and on the shaft it could heat the shaft and seal, this is why you will always see us cool it as soon as its fitted, so there is no heat soak into the supercharger shaft

Hi Questions I dont know I am nowĺllĺl beginning to try out power mods. I have a 2016 fullsize rover supercharged 3.0 1. Does all these upper and pulley upgrades give a lost in gas milage? 2. I recently swapped the inner snout coupler and seems to me like the spin qith my hands is a lil snug and not so smooth turning anymore. Like in yourl Does that seem to be a issue with ur experience ? Or once assembled back it will eventually smooth out with the belt turns? 3. If i purchase the supercharged pulley. Do i have to get a full tune? Or that can be done later on. I do already have the upper pulley install. Thanks for your support

Hi @jsylvester1945, thanks for your comment. It's hard to say exactly what might be the issue with your supercharger snout. The shaft should spin freely whilst the centrifugally engaged coupler should have resistance when fitted to the charger. If you go with just the top supercharger pulley from us, there is no need to tune your vehicle if you do not wish to. The adaptive nature of the ECU means that it will adjust timing, fuelling and torque to accommodate the additional up to 1.5psi from this modification. is this pulley compatible with jag s type r ,, well some ppl that hahave done the pulley upgrade on s type r have temperature issues and overheating issues any suggestions

Yes the 4.2 pulley is slightly different, but we do have these too, teh upper pulley really should not cause any over heating, i would want to get that investigated, we would suggest a tune and remap to go with the pulley, and if you are in very warm conditions you could explore a larger charge cooler too, but in general the pulley pulley should not need additional cooling. viezu.com/jaguar-tuning-specialists/

Hi there, I have an 04 XKR and very interested in doing this upgrade, I have read you need to either grind or mill around 3mm or so off the snout to fit the new smaller pulley's internal diameter. Also, does a model year like mine require re-mapping of the ECU? All jobs I've seen I don't think anybody changed the ECU at all but I could be wrong. Have you done this mod to a 2004 or 05 XKR by any chance? I'd probably get you guys to do this on my car but I'm in New Zealand. May I ask how much you charged for this job including Paramount's cost of the pulley? Cheers

This video is just showing how to fit a performance smaller super charger pulley on an interference fit supercharger snout. We would always recommend tuning the vehicle where possible in conjunction with uprated hardware modifications to get the safe optimum out of the powertrain.

We can do an upper pulley upgrade without doing a tune. Most people choose to have both, but works very well on its own.

we offer both 7 % and 10% smaller, the 10% pulleys do require the supercharger snout to be machined down to fit
