Add Spreaders to the Storm Shield for Wider Interior - Hammock Cover 360 degree

The Storm Shield is a simple tube style cover for our ponchos in hammock mode. Typically the Storm Shield rides on a ridge line over the hammock. Spreaders are an inverted “V” that helps to hold the top more open and can allow more air circulation. These can be added to existing models or selected as an option on new ones (check availability on website).

I have an idea for your engineering mind. Your ingenious storm shield has given us some freedom from the need for a hammock tarp. Of course, for prolonged rain we will still need to set up a tarp over the hammock. However, what if, instead, we had another storm shield? I mean, a double layer tent will last longer in the rain than a single layer tent, so what if you designed a second storm shield that could be slid over the first storm shield, with a method for keeping the two separated with some space berween them for air flow? Wouldn't this work as well as a tarp? If so, then we would be truly free from the hammock tarp.
