For reference, I find it easy to determine the shape of a chord based on its cowboy version near the nut. In this case, the Dm shape on the G, B, and E strings. So just whip up all over that fret board with the Dm shape and voila! Life is good!!

Interesting timing! I was fooling around a few days ago with 3rd, sixth, root (3,2,1 strings) and sliding them around over the blues scale notes-trying to get this sound I heard Duke Levine get on ‘Love and Peace’ (live version). Very jazzy sounding. Love it!

thank you ford for another video. I love your cool ways, your sound is great, your playing amazing . Just wished there was just a bit more clarity on the explanations ( just a bit more theory or connecting to scales etc.,....) for the intermediate player , which I would guess it the majority of the viewers. That goes for all your lick videos. Uncle Larry does it. Just a bit more explanation/details for the licks/tricks you are showing would be amazing and would increase possibly the number of subs and views for your channel. Looking forward to the next one.
