Typically the 18650 battery is regarchable. I have 4 and use two of them ALL day and swap them out to keep my flavor vaporizer going non stop. Nice, Very Nice!!!! Thanks!!

I convert all kinds of cheap items to run off of Li-Ions with those tiny "Buck converters" / "boost -buck converters" and one or more 18650 / 21700 / CR-123-A / 26650 / 32600 or whatever fits for the proper voltage , my favorite one to convert is the $ 1 harbor freight LED light , I use a old phone battery / batteries and a 5V 1A 18650 TP4056 Lithium Battery Charging Board then I remove enough plastic so that everything fits snugly and epoxy all of the parts after wiring everything up and route out the place for the charging plug also I drill out a small hole over the charging boards LED's and fill the hole with some hot glue to make a light pipe letting me know the charging status of the light , good video for people who don't know 👍

Good idea and I didn't think of it despite having lots of both those flashlights and 18650 batteries on hand, so thanks for the video. Just a theory but I think what might be going on with those three-packs of 1.5 volt cells is that they are draining into each other due to tiny variations in the relative charge of one and then the other in a kind of cascading overshoot if that makes sense. I do know they discharge all by themselves but not sure of the actual reason, I think the single cell should not be subject to this.

cool, but remember to use a "protected" cell [low voltage cutoff] or you will kill the battery.

A 18650 when charged is about 4.2 volts. When it's around 3 volts it's about discharged. You oughta check out convoy s2+ if you want a better light that won't break the bank. it's $20 but I been toting the same one for years. Get a 18350 tube and cell and it's tiny in the pocket.
