I have both orange and white and like the white one more

What steel is on the white version?

I own both these and picked up the green one 3 weeks ago. Its a solid choice in my EDC rotation for light-moderate duty cutting tasks. When I carry it I don't feel like I am missing anything from my better and more $$$ knives. My only complaint is that the liner-lock is a little hard to engage because it does not protrude out from the scales much. I trimmed away a little of the plastic to expose the liner lock and this 100% fixed it. I also used my ceramic rod to round over the flipper tab and smooth it over. Its less "grabby", and this reduces the chance of an accidental blade deployment in pocket.

the $5 green one is sold out also. It's last year's offering and it's not coming back into production. What's the point of recommending alternative that's not available?

I nearly got killed in my boat last year. Storm came over the mountain and I didn’t see it coming. The lightning hit all around me and came sooooo close to me. I will never go fishing without this again now that I’ve bought one.

Everything I have ever gotten with the name Ozark trails sucked so now all of a sudden they made something good I promise I will not be running down to Walmart to get one

I bought the orange when it first came out. The lock didn’t work and almost cut my finger. I sent it back but just bought one again and I was much more happy with it

I have 3 Walmarts in my area, I bought two knives through the app a couple months ago when they were available and just purchased another one on the app tonight seeing it was the last one in all 3 stores hoping it was the reversible pocket clip version. Nope...oh well, at this pice I can can keep buying them until I get a reversible one! 😂🤞

I just bought one of the green ones with the liner lock last night. I swear, I was able to shave hair off my arm with it, right out of the box. I can't believe how sharp it is. Don't know how long it will stay that way or whether all of them in the store are this sharp, but mine is and I'm goin' back for a couple more. One gets dull, give it to a young nephew or niece and break out a new one. $5!!!

With the amount of videos about this knife, Walmart should have charged 100 for it. I ordered the new version and when I saw the reversible clip option, I passed out. It's a 10 dollar knife. There will be thousands of videos comparing the orange one to the new white 5 dollar one. I'm 61 on disability and bored. Go and look at the thousands of videos about a 10 dollar knife.

The $5 white ones can sometimes arrive with the blade a little bent. You have to measure it to notice, and doesn't affect its performance, but just sayin'. The $10 one is better, but after a little stropping the $5 is pretty decent.

Not bad for a $5 knife, I would consider it a light duty knife, cutting rope etc. So now you made me buy another knife!!! LOL

I was able to get one a few months ago; mine is just like your older one. I describe it to people as a good $10 knife. Keep expectations realistic, though! If you’re expecting it to be a good $100 knife for $10, you’re going to be disappointed.

Since I was not able to find the orange one, I was ecstatic to see the white one. Bought 2 and was impressed enough to get 5 more as gifts and to toss in a couple of different EDC kits.

I've always loved the Gerber Bear Grylls scout knife, I have several of them. But they are getting more expensive. May try these out and see how they are for daily use.
