There is actuslly a dance like Mamushka. The makers of Addams Family must have gotten the idea from the Armenian Folk Dance of "Yarkhooshtah". This is a jolly dance to arouse young men to become fierce warriors and involves similar steps and moces. Just that men would yell at each other and high-five each other with both hands, similar to like they do with knifes in the movie
