It is worth mentioning for anyone who wants to do this to a pressure washer that motors experience an inrush current up to 20x greater than the rating. Current kills motors. Starting and stopping an electric motor that has not been designed for an intermittent type of duty cycle can cause premature death of the motor. Something that is done in industry is to install a time delay relay to the pressure switch so that during brief intermitted use of the trigger the unit will stay powered, if you let off the trigger for some period of time (saw 30 or 60 seconds or so), the machine will turn off. That solution is better for the motor because it stays running during those moments that you are quickly repositioning the sprayer wand, but also prevents the unit from being left powered unattended which is bad for the pump.

This is awesome. I just found your vid and wanna thank you for sharing it. I have the SunJoe SPX 9007 pro and I’m loving it but unfortunately this model does not have a total stop feature and would love to add a tss now I know that it could be done thanks to you. I would love to see how the electrical connections were made.

Awesome job! I’m not that mechanically inclined. I bought a surge outlet that came with a remote control on/off. I plug the pressure washer to the outlet and leave the small key chain remote in my pocket and just press it when I need to use it. Kinda annoying but it works and I’m used to it now. Wish SunJoe would just add the damn auto off/on.

Hey Chris great video tyty... this is exactly what I'm looking for for my Canpump Electrojet CR3000 it's 1500psi and 2.2Gpm 2Hp motor and 16amp 120V... anyway was just wondering if you remember where you purchased the switch? If you have a link or something that would be much appreciated.

@@dieseldan2003 This ultimately ended up not being a solution. There was always issues with every iteration and i wanted it perfect. I eventually gave up and bought a new pressure washer.

Hi, im planning to get a arblue 630, this model doesn't have the tss. Thr local shop saying the 630 model with the tss isn't available in my country. Im wondering would the modifications as yours would work on the ar 630 model cause it says it has a automatic pressure relieve system. I dont really know what that means.
@ChrisL-rh7io Жыл бұрын
I had trouble ultimately finding a pressure switch that worked with the sun joe setup. AR offers several models which have TSS so my best suggestion is to find one with it vs a retrofit as although I was close, I never found an end result I was 100% happy with

Hey Joe. I posted an update on this as I ran into issues using a foam cannon. If you don't use one, I can purchase a switch below but if you do, I'm still on the search for a switch that fits those needs but to be honest, it's not looking promosing. www.toolbarn.com/karcher-8-712-262-0.html/

@jp485063 жыл бұрын
Chris, how did you fiqure out the issue from the pressure switch cycling in and out?
@ChrisL-rh7io3 жыл бұрын
With this switch, I didn't have any cycling problems except when the foam cannon was being used. I'm still in the process of finding one that accommodates the increased foam cannon pressure. What you can do is turn the unloader dial back a little bit - if you're on the cusp of the pressure actuation psi, this should help but i don't recommend dialing it back too far.

Question on the CoxReel. I to own 50ft CoxReel. Did you use and coupler or elbow fitting when you install your Kobrajet hose to the reel? Can you provide a link too?
@ChrisL-rh7io4 жыл бұрын
Nope, no elbow needed. I recommend removing the rubber sleeve. It'll make it a lot easier to attach it directly!

Unrelated but how did you get the QD with no clearance on the mosmatic xD
@ChrisL-rh7io4 жыл бұрын
I'm using the Mosmatic coupler from OG but on a 29.132. There's still a gap, but it's small and you can't really see it in the video. I will say that the fit and finish is nice on the Mosmatic QDs, but they leak or don't fit well with MTM parts so if I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't have upgraded because I had to change out more pieces than I wanted to.

Yep, I've mentioned it in other comments and is why I haven't posted the DIY. My solution is to use a pressure switch with a higher rating than 580 but am currently in process of moving so haven't had the time to do all this as much as I'd like to.
