Am gonna try to make this hat on 48 needle sentro knitting machine; I also have a homemade 48 peg knitting loom that I would use to make the brim, wish me luck 🙂.

What stitch is the braid? I can't find that in the pattern...

Its just a crochet strip of double crochet its not a braid.

I really like the brim of the hat in this video. But, the only video I found for the flat stitch did not produce anything that looks like the brim in this video. In fact it produced a a simple knitted stitch. Where can I find instructions on how you made the brim in this video?

I purchased the pattern, but the instructions in the pattern and video produce a brim that looks different from the purple hat in the video. In fact in the video you say you tried a flat stitch and that you liked th fabric it produced, and it looks different from the brim in the pattern. I looked up the flat stitch, but all I could find was instructions that produced a plain knit fabric. I did experiment and found that if I knit one purl one across, then I can produce a fabric that looks similar to the purple brim in the video. I'm not sure if that is correct or not. The hat is very cute either way.

YES in the pattern it is the regular ewrap. In the video I tried doing the flat stitch to show the difference. The hat is done in the same method, I only substituted the ewrap for the flat stitch. You can use any stitch you like making this pattern. Well, I had found that video and tried that stitch and it produced a simple knitted fabric. The only way I could produce anything that looked similar to the dark purple brim in your video was knit one stitch, purl the next, repeat across. Then on the return row, purl a stitch, knit the next, repeat across. This is called a seed stitch and looks similar to your brim. I really like the dark purple brim in the video. If you ever decide to produce a video on how you made the dark purple brim, please let me know.

Phyllis Hollingshead All I can tell you is that I used the flat stitch in the video.. I would so like to see your hat when its done, I would love to see a different stitch, let me know how it goes and if I can be of any assistance... good luck..
