She wasn't meant to because the whole point is that she wouldn't be acknowledged for her skills as a mechanic because she's a woman. That's why the guys often brush that side of her off. The judge in this episode was based on a real judge who did similar sentences. I think he was in Tennessee. He sentenced a guy who stole CDs from a music store to stand outside with a sign saying what he did. It was legal because it counted as community service. I think he also sentenced other shoplifters to walk around in T shirts saying what they did. I'm not sure, but I think there may have also been a second judge in Texas who did similar things.

If I recall in regards to Boomhauer, his character has perhaps the largest amount of inconsistencies with his background. Hank, Bill, and Dale were pretty set while with Boomhauer, his story just seemed more enigmatic. I went to court once for some traffic thing, don't even remember. But one guy before me had been caught for public drunkenness several times. My favorite theory about this episode regarding Boomhauer is that he’s the one responsible for getting the dealer arrested, but didn’t expect them to get caught in the crossfire, he was hoping Hank just wouldn’t be able to get anymore and they could just move on.
@Blunt_Man Жыл бұрын
Good theory, if that was a real badge at the end of the series, that would make sense boomhauer knew exactly what the substance was and didn't want his friend to continue buying it but didn't want to break it to Hank that he was so naive either. Only thing that stands out is that if that was the case, why wouldn't boomhauer testify as an officer that he witnessed Hank use the drug to catch fish or have a conversation with the prosecuting attorney and judge behind the scenes? Certainly the word of a Texas Ranger or whatever his title is would be more than enough evidence for the courts to toss out the case against Hank and Dale, especially if it was his tip that led to the bust in the first place.

Guessing you're from Nor-Cal given the "Different Parts of the Salmon" thing. When I went to High School like 2 hours from the Nevada Border here in So-Cal, we dissected Fetal Baby Pigs. Wasn't till I went to HSU for my Degree that I found Salmon in California Schools

trauma dump? lets see I was legally *asleep (thanks youtube for flagging this comment) from drowning when I was at least 2 or 3 and now Its practically engraved in my brain that I can't swim, i've tried learning dozens of times and I spent my childhood in the safe ends of creeks and pools. i'm not scared of it, I just can't got over a mental block. babysitter yelled at me, locked me in a dark room because i didn't like being left at her apartment and routinely force fed me which gave me an eating disorder now everytime I try new food I lock up and cannot put anything near my mouth. i've been eating pre-packaged foods most my life because of it and my family doesn't realize why they just think I have a bad diet. i've seen my dad hit my mom and scream at her most of my life and can still perfectly picture it to this day my drug *superfan (thanks youtube) brother has stolen from us and made my life worse since 2016 because my dad is a raging loser that thinks helping him means screaming and threatening him with violence. several pets I've loved dearly *went to sleep (again, thanks youtube) and I was never comforted and i'm so emotionally stunted I can only cry when my dad gets drunk and screams about how we ruined his life or how he hates all of us, or just in general treats himself like the victim when you dare to disagree with what he says. I can still see my cat getting ran over in my head, it plays non-stop whenever I remember Spot. when one of the people that took us in when we were homeless *took sleeping pills (thanks susan or the man-susan that replaced her) no one took me to the hospital to see her off. they all went without me. I wasn't even allowed to go to her funeral. everyone i've ever formed a genuine bond with has been alienated by my family or turned out to be real pieces of shit most of my life one of my brothers constantly called me gay or said I was gay for a multitude of reasons. didn't have a girlfriend? "you're gay" didn't show any interest in other people because I was horribly shy? "you're gay" when his girlfriend lived with us after highschool he insinuated I had a crush on her just to fuck with me and he did it constantly. turns out i'm into men and women i'm never going to come out as Bi since I know he'll be a smug asshole about it and rub in my face that he was right, like that justifies years of calling me gay to hurt my feelings. best part? my dad is a raging homophobe so I couldn't come out safely even if I wanted to. he already talks down to me like an idiot with this annoying gentle "explaining things to you" tone because i'm on the spectrum and he thinks that means retarded. I don't even know if I care if i'm bi or not, or even if thats what I could be called. I'm not an intimate person I can't be emotional and I'm not good at and don't really care for physical contact. relationships don't interest me so I don't know what my deal is.
