The broodstock program is awesome. ODFW needs to implement this program on all coastal systems. It is proven in a lot of places. The video from Washington proves it.

Use to fish this river a lot years ago! Caught some really nice steelhead in this river. I sure hope they can get it back to what it once was. Such a beautiful river with tons of access. I have to say, i have caught several fish right where you guys launched. Was thinkin that you guys should head up river to get out of the wind when 1st watching the video. Nice move! Fish on fellas!

I love how all the addics don’t keep steelhead unless the are on a river that has a really good steelhead hatchery and even then they are pretty selective on the fish they keep

The biologist cam was interviewing is pretty cool. I've seen him on some videos that ODFW has put out about the north coast area. Sounds like he is a big fan of the broodstock programs. Hopefully the program grows on the north coast and apreads to other rivers. And hopefully washington will take a hint

I've got a lot of love for that river.. it's where I learned steelhead fishing from a buddy. One of these days I gotta get out on a boat, not many spots to hit the bank on that lower stretch. The air sure has a nice funk to it tho, doesn't it? 😉
