Started fishing 3 weeks ago at the age of 25, I have felt annoying asking men around me who have fished their whole lives questions, “powerbait and a bobber, they stock this lake in may” I want to say thank you for being so informative and entertaining, thanks to this video and the advice and technique demos, I successfully, set up my own pole, got fish appropriate rigging after research, used this spinner tutorial in my ears while I was doing it, and on my third cast caught an 16” Trout. You’re going to inspire some kid like me who thinks it’s too late to learn and have fun… great stuff. - sincerely some 25 year with a smile on his face

I’m sixty seven and yesterday, after a couple of hours of no bites on a new lake, I asked another fishermen “what works?”, after a short chat I got to work and went home about two hours later with four excellent trout. Never be afraid to ask.

Extremely over fished pond by my house. No luck with spinners or bait. Two blue gill in one day with a pink trout magnet. Best has been a super tiny brown zebra fly which caught eight fish. Good luck!

I’ve learned a lot from them too, I think I started watching them when I was 19 or 20 but really got into fishing last year and I’m just about to turn 21. Been chasing steelhead for a long time and hooked into a nice chromer for the first time on a spinner when I couldn’t get one on anything else, didn’t land it but still hooked into him so I know I was doing something right and I was doing almost exactly what Jordan does on the river with spinners.

Yeah, I have to agree. Just beginning fishing and am watching a lot of vids. AF is super clear, helpful and lacks that "high excitement" that just annoys and clouds the message. Keep it up!

This video was fantastic. I consider myself a more experienced trout fisherman, flyfishing and spinfishing, and I still recieve very useful tips in these tutorials. You never know so much that you can't learn a little more. Jordan explains very well and goes into great detail. A beginning fisherman can learn tons from Jordan. Great video.

I"ve not used spinners much for trout fishing, however, you're video was SO INFORMATIONAL that we went out today and had great success. We used rooster tails and they hit great! Thank you the simple instructions on how to get set up.

I've been spinner fishing for years, one thing I do to help from snagging is I use my needle nose pliers and bend in the hooks just a small amount so they point in. Yes the fish still get hooked.

Fisherman/hatchery worker here... nothing beats wheat bread for freshly stocked Trout. The hold overs and natural Trout hit spinners more. We raise our fish in cement canals 300ft x 10ft long being fed brown pellets from small to large. Our trophy fish are fed minnows too after 5-6 pounds. All fish will eat natural landing insects, we only have bird nets around so that free flying bugs can enter to drink some delicious water lol

This video is gold man. Shared big time. I have both the chartreuse vibrax and the black/gold panther martin. Both have been very success in the lakes and rivers up here in BC. Absolutely spoon colour matters. My banger was a nortac chartreuse with two orange dots, with a gold spoon. Lost it unfortunately but will soon replace. Have it with a silver spoon and it gets almost no hits.

You should try a light bump once it hits the water. I got bites that way. Then small bumps as you reel. Not hard just light almost pulls. Or when your line goes slack. I just got a newer 8.6 celio n 7.6 in ultralight as well I kinda love them both so I bought them in med heavy spinning and casting. So far I am a huge fan as well as the ceymar rells are smooth for the price. Can't wait to see more trout videos
