proud of you honey. when our parents and family repeatedly fail us in childhood/teen years when we are reaching developmental milestones and we are being ignored or punished, it scars us forever. now that you're clean, keep going, i'm 27 and i'm right there with you (: i don't have kids yet but my partner and i would love to in the next year, and i'm so excited to have my miracle here too. 8 years is amazing, and it's probably closer to 9 now :D thanks Kari, you are wonderful

“Everything could have been anything else, and had just as much meaning.” ~ Nemo Nobody It sounds like life has dealt you a few bad hands, and that’s unfortunate… But, you (we) have a choice of how we deal with them today. I’ve been addicted to a few things over my life, and I’m currently working on my last one. I’ve got rid of pills, drinking, smoking… Mostly all the dopamine altering ones (never did heroine). Because, that’s what I’m into. Thank you for sharing your story. Best of luck with your journey and recovery. I hope it works out for you.

I know for me a him was someone I shared one interest with a love of drugs that's it. A partner is someone you can be vulnerable around... I could never do that because I was to caught up in my own addiction. Thank you very much ❤
