I’m in the nail salon….looking at this video. I started crying like a baby, lol. It’s not because her story is familiar to mine, luckily for my journey it doesn’t have in triumph from addiction, but as we all know we have are own challenges and triumphs on this beautiful journey of life. What moved me was Charlotte, this Beautiful, Strong, Joyful, Powerful Woman, who triumphed over her addiction and other adversities, left me profoundly moved. We humans borrow each other’s energy; looking and listening to someone so filled with light and love , I decided that I’m going to take that energy and try my best to continue to pass it on! Thank you, Charlotte ❤️

Addiction is a horrible disease. I know this so well because I lost my daughter to addiction. Since then I wrote a book regarding her life it’s called, A father losing his daughter to addiction. I hope the world will read this book for it will help so many who are suffering and struggling each and every day with addiction. As well as their families. God bless you all.

Lost my firstborn daughter on June 15th 2022 - Fentanyl ‼️ she was addicted to crack & pain pills and got her hands on some fake pills laced with fentanyl 😢. We work hard to get her sober and she lived a drug-free and I would dare say sober life for close to two years something triggered her and the one-way trip to hell began.😢😢😢

I feel a stirring in my heart to clean up my act. God bless you for your story. I took a look at my own life and declared I am changing. I will never be able enough to thank you for you. I just wanna say that as the interview started, I thought you seem so wholesome and I mean that in the kindest way. Next I wanna say I cried and am so touched by your aunt who bathed you, the day your mama held you and felt like 6 ft tall and the girlfriend who helped you step into your womanhood again. So touching and powerful to have support in recovery. I related so much when you said you always wanted to talk about someone else so the attention was away from you. I’ve always done this and didn’t understand it and hid behind, “it’s a good trait to care” type thing but it was because of shame and guilt for choices I made in addiction. My story is probably considered so minor compared to most but the toll it took on my self worth is lasting. Your story and verbiage was so beautiful and insightful and really helped me. All the love to you and congrats. Thank you for sharing❤

I don’t know you Ms. Charlotte, but your story touched me deeply. My mother lived a similar lifestyle to yours & unfortunately lost her battle to addiction when I was 13. I always wanted her to get better & return fior me when I was growing up. She’d call sometimes & randomly come see me, but she just wasn’t strong enough to beat it or perhaps she didn’t have a good support system surrounding her. I’m a grown woman now & I understand some things better than I did than when I was a kid I now understand that it wasn’t because she didn’t love me that she never came back for me, but perhaps it was because she did love me she allowed someone else to properly protect/care for me. Thank you Ms. Charlotte for getting your life together on behalf of all the people who’ve struggled W/addiction those here & gone such as my mom. I pray that you continue fighting the good fight and spreading your message of hope & new life. I Love you from a fellow Houstonian .🐛🦋 🤎
