Limo service, ordering in pizza on butler service, in-room ice cream bar, likely breakfast and dinners... Like yeah, it's a lot of money, but from the perspective of several people, or top business moguls, using their "presidential suite (as in the president uses it)", that's downright affordable. Addie, glad you reacted to this one. My favorite scene was Marv turning into a skeleton, hilarious!😅😅. Marv, yelling heroically "NEVER" answering Kevin back about pain is my favorite line. The reason a 46 year old Donald Trump made a Cameo at The Plaza Hotel is because he owned The Plaza when this film was shot in 1992. He said that they could shoot the film there on the lone condition that he have a cameo. The carpet that He and Macauley were walking on was put down by the studio. Trump liked the carpet so much that he kept it permanently at The Plaza. My favorite parts of this film are Tim Curry and Rob Schneider as The concierge. Rob brings the wit and Curry brings great poise and determination. Both did great acting performances in this film. They actually seemed to work well together. Too bad they never did another project together. Even though the people and family is different, I recommend Home Alone 3 (1997). Still a very funny film. Great reaction Addie!

The recording device Kevin uses throughout the movie was a big-selling item among kids for a couple of years afterward. There was a commercial for it that showed a kid using it to prank his older sister and her boyfriend that the parents were home early... Harry and Marv are pretty much "live action cartoon villains". I saw a video on YT years ago that tried to assess what the real medical injuries would have been to Harry and Marv in the first two Home Alone movies. IIRC, they concluded that Harry would have needed 9 lives and Marv would have needed 14 lives to get to the end of the second one! Most of the "lives" lost were in 2, including one for each of the 4 bricks Marv got hit with...

I was a 90s kid and just barely over Kevins age when these came out and it was GREAT living vicariously through him. The second is more slapstick with the pranks and I think it works so well. If you want to see what would happen in real life with some of these "pranks" a few friends got together to make that movie and I HIGHLY recommend it, it's called "Better Watch Out." Would make for a great reaction sometime.

This was Christmas movie number 16 on my list as part of my 19th Annual tradition "25 Days Of Christmas Movie Marathon." 🎅🎄

This one is just as entertaining as the original. I got a good laugh from Kevin scaring away the concierge with his Talkboy recording of his Uncle Frank singing "Cool Jerk" in the shower and getting mad at him, using his inflatable Bozo the Clown. *EDIT* I also enjoyed the part where Skele-Marv gets electrocuted. BTW, nice headband.

Love your reactions to these two Christmas classics my favorite part has to be the toolbox falling down the stairs watching the tools fly out in all directions while falling down the stairs is pure gold Also i just wanted to point out that Marv gets hit on the head with a 100lbs bag of plaster

If you're wondering what that future President was doing in this movie, he owned the Plaza Hotel and his "price" for letting them use it in the movie was that he got a cameo appearance...

Obviously it doesn't hold a candle to the first film, but I still think this is a really fun film and a pretty good follow-up. Honestly, it's worth watching for three big reasons in my opinion: 1) The traps being way more violent and brutal, like I think I can confidently say that both of them should've died MULTIPLE times over the course of this film, but the exaggerated violence also makes it kind of funnier I feel. 2) John Williams' score is legitimately great once again; I know "Somewhere in my Memory" and "Setting the Trap" are both iconic pieces, but I do have to give a shout-out to "Christmas Star", such a beautiful piece that I listen to every single year. 3) Tim Curry - honestly you could disregard the other two points and just have this as the main reason to watch Home Alone 2, he steals every scene he's in and is just hilarious; the cross-fade of the Grinch's evil grin to him pulling a near-identical smug smirk is priceless.

4) Donald Trump - who should've won an Oscar for Best Cameo Appearance; plus, his character was polite and precise. Bush would've called security and Kevin would end up in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (closer to Florida, at least); Obama would've scolded him and told him to get lost; Biden would've told him the wrong directions. Kamala Harris would've treated him like a 4-year-old and they both would've been lost and it'd taken a whole day before Kevin found the lobby. President Trump is AWESOME!

Hi Addie!😊 They did a good job in this film sticking with what worked so well in the first film. Definitely stay away from the rest of sequels. They are not good. Great reactions to your 2nd Home Alone experience, Addie!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!!🎄1⃣

There were some shots, especially Duncan's Toy Chest, that were actually filmed in Chicago instead of NYC. I remember watching the local Chicago news story about the filming.

I just watched a video from a channel that shows us the inner beings of these famous movie houses. This house was built on a stage in a high school gymnasium, at least for the first movie. It showed the layouts and every room on every floor. EDIT: One more thing….KEVIN!

Hi Addie, I`m glad you enjoyed this film so much. I also enjoy the 3rd film, even though there is a different family. The enemy involved suffer also, even though there are more of them. (I won`t say anything else, just in case you change your mind.) Merry Xmas & A happy New Year to you & your family !! Also, Season`s Greetings to your other Subscribers & commentators !!

I made this comment on a different reaction to this movie, but I'd thought I'd share it here: a few years ago a doctor reviewed the first two Home Alone movies and talked about the injuries Harry and Marv would have suffered IRL. And they both would have died, several times.

Funny thing, seeing Marv's skeleton when he's electrocuted actually scared me as a kid. I mean, I saw skulls in The Terminator yet seeing him scream as a skeleton scared me to the point where I would run to the other room before he gets shocked and wait in the other room until the screaming stopped. Maybe it was the torturous aspect or something like that. Doesn't bother me anymore as a I got older but dang was I scared back then. 😅

Just in case, if you don’t know, Kevin, the actor name is Macaulay Culkin and he has good movies and you should watch them for a reaction The movies are my girl , the good son , getting even with Dad , the page Page master Richie Rich. In you don’t know my age I’m 13. Try to respond and as quickly as you can, I want your opinion

To the people who say this film takes too much from the first film, I would describe it as if the first film is the first time you tell a joke, then this film is when you have told it a few more times and refined the humor. Also, the Trump cameo is solely because at the time the film was made, Trump owned the Plaza Hotel and has nothing to do with current politics.
