Trying to upgrade my shop. About to clean house and get organized. Adding a few fixtures in key locations add LED lights. Next project: cleaning up and getting 10 years of scrap and crap out.

Good job in not getting thrown off the ladder from being shocked. Those screw-in LED lights used to come in different colors of light, with 2,800 K to 3,000K being the same warm color as the regular light bulbs in your home, and on the other end of the scale, those marked 6,000K giving you a super bluish-white light, of the kind normally seen in bright hospital operating rooms and in jails. As the screw-in LED fixtures got more and more popular, the makers in Asia just started sending all they could make to us, and the color you got was by chance, not by choice. However, whatever color they emit, they're a real improvement over most older types in light fixtures. Thanks for showing us how it is done. P.S. Costco sells a longer LED fixture, similar to the long fixtures in your garage, but with remote controls, movement sensors, timers, chains for hanging them, variable light intensities, and with the ability to plug several in a row w/o adding junction boxes, for about $25 each, and possibly less now.
