Having had Betta for over 50 yrs, one thing I found that help maintain their color is to use quality food and stay away from those pellets or flakes that say “color enhancing”.

My favorite food to feed my bettas are bloodwoorms and live worm cultures. I feed some pellets but moreso to condition fish I sell to accept a wide variety of foods.

I have a Betta that was sick, I nursed him back to health, but he soon stopped eating. I couldn't get him to eat. I finally got him to eat the shrimp pellets, but I basically scrape the pellet into tiny chunks and thank God he is eating.

There are two products I know of that will enable you to glue plants to wood, rocks or tank filters. The names are Gorilla Glue Gel or a pet shop glue. Also, YT covers this topic quite well. Give it a try because that tank was very impressive looking.

I got a betta just like him! I have endlers in the tank and he started going right for them trying to eat them 😅 so I put them in a box for now until I can transfer them to one of my other tanks. I just don’t trust him. His mouth is perfect size for those little guys lol

I do have a question, I own 4 male bettas and my new member the 4th is a double half moon betta but his body shines either baby blue or a light lavender depending on how the light reflects against his scales but his fins don’t seem to change. I have never seen this color in a betta before would you happen to know if it’s common in bettas or no? I got him from petsmart

Its the iridescence. Very common especially with petsmart bettas, its hard to breed it out

As for a name, I think anything other than Joe Exotic lol 😂 but that's totally up to you and Daniel! I have a breeding pair of tiger nemo plakats for about a year now and they haven't marbled yet. (I like to call it "changing their outfit" but I'm a dork that way) 😉 🐟🌱🐟🌱🐟🌱🐟🌱🐟

So far from observing him I noticed that he is a very mellow dude. I was moreso worried about the endlers bothering him then him eating them (although it's a possibility). Speaking of Joe Exotic ..maybe I should name him Tiger King! 🐅

My old betta used to chill with his neon tetra friends. But some bettas find them colorful and like to um bother them and nip them. It all depends on your betta!
