I really think that adding ember tetras to the tank would really collide with you want, they are tiny they are orangery red a peaceful schooling fish and they look amazing
@rodneywalat89563 жыл бұрын
I agree. I have green neons and embers together. Fantastic color combination. I love how they intersperse, then school up, then intersperse again. Their colors make the whole tank pop.

Good video thanks! I had flame tetras with cardinals and black neons. Although described as peaceful the flames were just too active, chasey and assertive for the cardinals, changed the whole dynamic of the tank. I have found cardinals to be very gentle fish and we need to take care when pairing them with other similiarly sized fish.

Hi! What are the smaller yellow fish in the video?
@pjp93833 жыл бұрын
Agree with other suggestions to add ember tetras. My experience with them suggests they don't need quite as large a group as some tetras might, and they are nice and small. If your betta does settle in and get along with the others in the tank, their colour would play nicely off his colour too.

The best fishkeeping videos thank you very much always for your informative content, this was neat to see the community you have. I lost my little betta girl mavis this week unfortunately your euthanasia video helped me decide what was right for her symptoms. I have a male betta left and I plan to upgrade his 3.6 gallon to a 15 g now that I’ll have the space 😢 and I was considering tank mates for him maybe ember tetras any suggestions for a 15g? But as you stated in the video, I need to prioritize his well being so I can understand the full 15 tank to himself ♥️ 🎣

The bigger tetras look a bit like silver tips with a purple hue, do they act similar to silver tips?

great video the tetras look beautiful also are blue tetras fin nippers
@pjp93833 жыл бұрын
From one care guide website I found, it sounds like they're similar to a lot of tetras: "May be fin nippers when not kept in appropriately sized aquariums and when not kept in large enough schools."

can you do a review video on the top fin 3.5 enchant tank? i love the simplicity of the tank but people always say the 3 gallon and 5 gallons are the minimum.
@CreativePetKeeping3 жыл бұрын
I will add it to the list of tanks to review, thank you for the suggestion. I think less then 5 gallons will work as long as you keep it to just the fish and no snails/other fish. Some bettas do very well in smaller setups (shy bettas or older bettas) so I think its more fair to say 2.5 gallons should be the minimum.

I have a 40 G tank with about 8 green emerald Cory's, two bristle nose plecos, and it is heavily planted with live substrate. I'm looking for mid-range depth and top range depth fish to add. I've had some outstanding ideas suggested to me thus far and am still doing my research. Cherry barbs, blue tetras and green rasboras are a few of my favorites, but what would you think of adding?
@CreativePetKeeping3 жыл бұрын
The Gertrude's Spotted Blue Eye Rainbowfish, (Pseudomugil gertrudae) are super cute little fish that look so interesting but are not schooling so they will hang out all over the top and mid range of the tank. I've been trying to breed them but so far have not had much luck yet.

the more you add the more Bettas you have ? I wonder what's the life-span of Betta fish ?
@CreativePetKeeping3 жыл бұрын
I sell a lot of fish locally so some bettas don't stay with me permanently. In my experience domestic Betta splendens live to be 2 to 3 years old. Some can live much longer but it depends on the genetics and environment the fish are from.

You'll LOVE the Danio Choprae! Check them out @ Flip Aquatics; I got a school of 6 and they are the most amazing, strikingly beautiful fish. Very interesting to watch as they school, then pair off to spawn and dance together, then school up again.
