We also found out with our (almost) 2yo! It was a cute family moment. Now that he’s older and has more of an understanding of what pregnancy/baby means I’d probably wait a bit longer. He’s been great with the transition though, so sweeeet. ❤

My take on telling your toddler- with my second we told him right away, and he told everyone we knew right away which we were ok with but if you want to keep it from the general public, I wouldn’t tell a 2 yr old. That baby died at birth and we made the decision to let our 2.5 yr old hold his dead baby brother and say goodbye. With our third we waited to tell him until we were ready to tell the rest of the world which was a little bit longer. There’s lots of reasons to tell them and lots to hold back. But like you said, mostly importantly just know YOUR kid and how they’ll navigate the knowledge
