Adding a Water Filter to an Elkay EZ Water Cooler (English)

Used 3/8" poly tubing from the water turn off to the copper tubing on the filter assembly eliminating the need for two quick connects. Since it's a tight fit, this worked to my advantage making it easier to manipulate the line behind the filter itself. Hardest part of the install is releasing the already installed 1/4' piping on the faucet itself. It took me and another buddy 15 minutes of struggling to release the tubing from the connect. Installing the 1/4" poly tubing wasn't difficult, but I would definitely suggest double checking for leaks!

I like how the plumber handles the filter and pipe fittings with the same nastyass gloves he just used to remove the drain trap spilling waste water all over them and then wipes the whole thing down including the spout with that fetid gross rag from his toolbox. 👍👍

Boy those filters are famous for leaking and outrageously priced, in our school we removed the filters that is came with $60 .00 and but in a Calligan filler with the cartridges that are like 6 dollars
