I'm just curious why you didn't choose to mount to the studs directly with screws. Maybe I missed something.

With any job, the existing constraints of where the drain is located, and water supply is located, will dictate the location of the unit. So you kind of have to work with what you got. Of course it’s great to hit some studs. I was lucky enough to find three or four that did work. But I was not willing to open all the sheetrock and put in a bunch of blocking for this unit. Nonetheless, this is a rock, solid mount, and people to this day are still enjoying it. I’m talking an entire yoga class, giving this thing hell, and it’s still holding up just fine.

Thanks for sharing the water hook up using the braided line. The manufacturer video uses push fittings with 3/8 tubing which I dislike.

Could you tell me me the dimensions of the adapter use on the flex hose? 3/8 th to 1/4?

hmm... can't recall. I had the inlet copper tube from the Elkay unit in one hand at the Home Depot. I had the bradded flex supply line in the other. I just kept looking around in the adapter/fittings section until I found the right combination. I'm sure there are lots of ways to do it.

How many days did it take to install

From demo to finish paint I think I was there for four days. Mostly because of the surprise that there was no electrical behind the previously existing fountain. Who’d a thought!
