Adding accessories on GOBI Safari Rack! Let's get creative!

I spent way more time then I should have researching and trying to find mounts for accessories on my GOBI Safari rack for the JK. Turns out, there is NOTHING out there that cooperates with GOBI. Any other roof rack, and I would have been set months ago. So, since I do not possess the skills or the equipment to fabricate what I need, I had to get creative. And after much shopping, measuring, planning and scheming.... I found some very inexpensive ways to mount accessories like the MaxTrax traction boards, and a shovel and axe to the GOBI Safari rack. So after years of searching, and trying different products, I finally found a dash mount system that does not shake loose while bouncing around off road. That would be from Bullet Point Solutions. Thanks for posting this on the GOBI Rack, Yes I do agree, the types of accessories that can be mounted to the GOBI rack are limited & it's because they are a very small Mom & Pops Shop. The Bar Clamps are what I used to put MOLLIE panels on my 4Runner & 4 years later GOBI now sales the MOLLIE panels. Very Creative Video. Looking forward to your next release. Thank you kindly

I agree. Just a pain to add stuff too without buying direct from Gobi. Lol. Like my latest video in adding an awning to it.... just takes some creative ingenuity..... lol.... it can hold a lot of weight, and is low profile, so hard to chose a different rack just for convenience of add ons. 🤣

@@JeepingForBeginners yeah I considered fabbing up some awning mounts but didn’t have enough time before a trip so I bit the bullet and bought a set. I thought I was overpaying, but they’re so thick and well designed I think it was pretty close to a fair price.

Great ingenuity, glad you were able to find an affordable option for us to mount things to the gobi as I am hesitant to buy their mounting hardware for 250$ a pop

Have the advantage of being in an area with no rain or real foul weather, but so far, have had zero issues. Since install been covered in mud, been washed, used and have had no issues....
