Pretty sure you're supposed to do more than one loop around that spark lead?

@@deltabravo1257 fair enough, I've just never seen one that isn't wrapped a few times, it's essentially a CT so makes sense one wrap works, I guess they just suggest more to be sure of enough induction.. Power to ya mate

Is there a small battery on this tach? I had one on my Honda 2000 and when the battery died I was out of luck. If this one works with a battery, can you replace the battery when it goes dead? Mine lasted about 3 years. Also can you add a link as to where you bought this tach? Thanks.

This one uses a battery but it's a sealed unit. I later found an hour meter / tach on Amazon that has a replaceable battery. It uses either a CR2032 or CR2025. I will buy that next time I need a meter
