That black wire (that you wrapped around the spark plug wire) didn't have a sealed end to it, so I bet you could cut a few inches off of it, to make it fit better. Too bad you have to unscrew the counter to change the battery, but for the money, you can't go wrong. Fine video, thank you.

Data plate says 3200 rpm. 1600 seems to be indicating 1/2 actual rpm. Most generators are 4 stroke so fire on every other stroke. You may need to run set up program again.

Is the RPM reading universal to the motor or do you have to wrap wire around each spark plug per reading?

Odd that it didn't come with one already installed. The oil change times are really important. Have you changed to synthetics yet ? I swear by them. That is an interesting meter. Most run off the charging system. Nice and neat install my friend.
