Adding Beads to Your Knitting

Here are the two most common ways to add beads to your knitting.
If working with fingering weight yarn you can use either size 8/0 or 6/0 beads (3 and 4 mm).
For heavier yarns like DK and Worsted, you will likely need to size up to a 4/0 or 5 mm bead. The yarn will need to fit through the bead hole doubled.
When using a steel crochet hook, I find the 1mm - 1.5 mm hooks work best. Work slowly and carefully to avoid splitting the yarn.
