That cable system is really interesting the way I usually do cable railings is use eye bolts and form a loop with the cable into a crimp. Each section or face of the deck has a lag on one side and a through bolt with a nut and washer through the post so corners don't need an offset but this looks really clean. Also my way is way messier since you have to trim the cable with an angle grinder

Awesome job! I was thinking about going with the aluminum railing system until I saw your video. Looks easy enough and possible less expensive. Don’t the code require additional non bearing posts on the 16’ run? Keep up the good work.

Codes are different depending on your location so definitely check with them first

Nice project hope you enjoy it for years to come. Are you planning on staining the deck? and if so is it going to be a lot of work to mask off the cable? also did you have to fill in the corners or is that space less than 4 inches?
@SpecificLove7

The corners are less than 4 inches, so we are good there. As for staining, we might reseal it in 6 months to a year. But that is a very good question about masking the cable when staining. I guess that is one of the downsides of using this system.

Dude. You didn't show how to install cables and hardware or did I miss something?

Looks awesome but..how do you run the cable around the corners like from the deck down the stairs?

At each corner there is a anchor point, it doesn't go through
