From one Veteran to You, Thank You for your Service!!! I served for 21 years in both the USAF and the Michigan Army National Guard. So militarily, I am bi-lingual so to speak. In the USAF I was a computer repairman and in the Guard I was in the Signal Corps. I enjoyed both.

I group up just outside of Ft Rucker Alabama during the Veteran era. My father was a mechanical instructor on the Huey and the Chinook. BTW both have great hiding places in them for playing Hide and Seek…Got to ride in a Huey that landed at our High School but never got to ride in a Chinook. What great memories those brought back today. Thanks. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸

Looks like you’re going to have the best of both worlds there, prime fishing and a sandy beach to boot, Brian! Concrete pour was a big success, looks great and it’s nice to have you helping Chris out there, Brian! I’m just now watching your video and next I’ll watch Chris’ video! Best of both worlds to me too brother! lol 😁😁

This is one of those times it's neat to see outside the machine. The interior shots didn't show how large the old dam was while he was tearing it down. Scale just doesn't transfer well on camera. OH, you might want to just hint about doing an island.. Chris loves those almost as much as he likes snakes LOL

Are you considering adding pea gravel for bluegill spawning beds? Now is the time to do it. The sand you have though not quite as good as pea gravel is still better than mud for them to spawn in. Putting beds in at water depths of 1 to 4 feet is ideal.

Rock isn't free. For a small job like this, figuring installation time and transportation costs, concrete is the better choice.

Nah, Chris, his uncle and just about every pond builder uses just concrete. It's a far better alternative and cheaper than also trucking small loads of stone.

If you go swimming in there you would want to be careful one of them there Snappin' Turtle's doesn't grab your clam digger. Can I ask why you don't dig the dam out and get rid of all the muck off the bottom? I know Chris does a good job but I'm just asking. Be great when its full.
@BrushCommando
@BrushCommando 9 күн бұрын
@@chriscorrigan7420 I’m not sure really, just the way things were done. I have been adding anaerobic bond bacteria, which actually eats the muck at a rate of 2” per month.
