with 60G it would be best to have 5 minimum (they are shoaling fish) but you should be able to have up to 10-14, with what I know... I have a close friend with the same dimensions, she has 12

My daughter’s favorite color is yellow. When u did the recent tank tour with these fish she loved the yellow lab tank. This video will begin my research as my baby gets what she wants 😂😉 Also if anyone is on the fence about a betta from kg tropicals go for it. My hell boy, my daughter named Alf, arrived a few months ago happy healthy and well packaged. He’s doing great in a 16 gallon fluval vista. Has some Pygmy corydoras and snails as tank mates. You can really tell he was well taken care of. Even knew to come to the surface when I tap the tank to eat, lol. Found that adorable 🥰

I watched a tour of their farm once, and they really know what they're doing, but they are a little bit rough with them sometimes. Obviously, the fish can handle it and are more resilient than we think. Which makes it all the more ironic that it's so tough to keep them healthy at our homes sometimes 😅

Wow John! You got your dream fish! Congratulations !!! You've been talking about this for a long time. They look aweRsum! You and Lisa were having a real fish extravaganza that night! I wish i could get a betta from Lisa.... but i'd have to set up another tank (I only have one). The problem is, i'm gone 2+ weeks at the time once in a while, so I'm not sure how a 10 gallon tank would fair that long..... No room or another larger tank. I have someone who is great about feeding my fish, but i never expect him to do water changes. My lone tank doesn't need water changes for about 3 weeks at the time. It's really well cycled and is loaded with plants. As for your diatom algae, who cares? It's just nature. I had gobs of green algae in my tank for months and months. I finally got it balanced (without trying), but even if i didn't, it wouldn't bother me. I think we all realize algae happens. Your yellow lab tank looks fantatic!!!!!!! And I know everyone loves Dude! heehee Best regards!

Awesome looking setup looks great 👍 you should get with universal rocks or someone like that and see if you can get a floating/hanging rock formation coming from the top with crevices for them to get into so that some will be up high in the tank... Either that or make a tall rock formation somehow. If you want to catch small fish build you a fish trap with an opening only big enough for the fish you want to catch, and wait.. that's what I have to do in my 275..

John, I'm so jealous; this is my dream tank except my 125 has a aqua blue background .Can't wait for all of your babies to come mine.I first had mine breed in a 55 gal mixed African cichlid tank with at least 50 lbs of sandstone across the lower half of the back of the tank . You were right about having to remove most if not all of those rocks to get the babies out but they will most likely survive in there with all of the hiding places you already have. so just sit back and enjoy the view.

If you have a rock and gravel place nearby that sells slate rocks like I did. I made little sheds of granite with slate roofs. I even built a 3 story condo for my African cichlid tank. Tank was a 40 gallon Show tank that's 48 long and 18 high by 12 deep. I put a ten gallon under-gravel filter in for bio filtering and put in 4 cups of gravel from a seasoned tank and bought some nice fish. A ten gallon U.G. filter is good enough for up to 75 gallon tanks as long as you follow the inch of fish per gallon rule.

this tank inspired me to make my own yellow labs only tank. I breed these guys and decided to keep a bunch after seeing this. I have them in a 4 foot tank with all black background. And wow. People who see it immediately gravitate to it as the yellow labs really pop. The setup is not biotope correct but hey they are happy and have lots of space to swim in. When i ever i approach the gather to me. like water dogs.

I have a single male yellow lab in my mixed African tank and I got him when he was just an inch or so big. He’s now about 6-7 inches long and one of my eldest fish. I stare at him swimming around for hours. Absolutely beautiful Mbundu.

I have a 120 gallon tank and started with 3 yellow labs about 4 years ago just to add brightness to the tank lol I have a great yellow lab tank now approx. 40 to 50 now thay took over and only the clown loaches have survived in there with them I dont mind as thay are a great fish and have a real caricature to then I have never managed to get any of them out so would be interested to see how you do that I have found that the more rocks and hiding places the more fish you will get as thay all have there own place to sleep yes I know its odd but that's how thay seem to work thay can act like a wolf pack sometimes with 1 alpha male and female who do the breeding and the other fish tend to care for the fry so will not eat them again odd but that's the fun of yellow labs anyway stunning fish and great content thanks for your time in doing these videos.
