Your willingness to share your talent is immensely appreciated. When you talk through your visual guidance it is inspiring and encouraging. The humor you interject is a delightful way to foster a more relaxed approach to the development of my skills. Many thanks! You are a gem! Smiles, a nod, and a wink to you and your sweetheart from across the pond 😊

It made me chuckle as well. I have recently done a watercolour drawing of a rocky stack on the Isle of Skye. The whole picture is mainly muted browns and greys and it cried out for a little bright colour. I thought about putting a couple of rock climbers in brightly coloured lycra half way up it and did a quick google on a couple of climber's sites to see whether anyone had done it. The answer was that the rock was brittle, crumbly, very dangerous and a thoroughly unpleasant experience. So my picture of the Storr has no climbers on it.

I loved painting along with you on this one and really impressed my husband when I showed him the painting the next day. He said, "You did all that last night?" I learn so much from watching you. Now I'm not afraid of putting figures into my paintings. I did the rainy city street a couple of days ago. And of course, I love the humor you throw into your videos. Makes it all the more fun. Then I had to do some more research on Constable and his famous painting. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the great tutorial on adding people to painting. I’m certainly going to practice and then give it a go as I agree they add interest to a picture.

Watching you paint always makes me happy! I love your loose style and ease, something I am very challenged by. Your paintings are so inviting. Thank you!

What an excellent tutorial and beautiful painting! I need to add a figure to a coastal scene and didn’t know how to approach it in watercolor. This is so helpful for that and so much more.

I"m at the point - the finishing point - of a painting and now I must add a figure! And I don't want to muck it up! I remembered this tutorial -- thank you so much. As of this date there are 963 comments and 96,000 + views so it must have really been needed. Again, thank you.

As many many people here, I also look forward on Wednesday. Thank you again, Paul. You explain things so clearly and with kindness. I really think everbody here is very lucky to look and to listen to you. I've read a lot of the comments here and I agree, not all artists are able to share their knowledge the same way as you do. Your artistic skills combined with your teacher's background... it's a big gift for all your subscribers. You encourage people and this precious : I took my brushes again... And I practice... with no pressure. Thank you. (again sorry for my strange English, from Belgium😉).

I searched for this topic as I struggled with a painting of Sand Bay near Weston yesterday. I've learnt a huge amount more than I bargained for watching this though. A big thank you

Thanks for the people and the river and the trees. All things I need to practice more for my book. Even a house, although my families house in the story isn’t quite that grand. Back to practicing. Practice practice practice!

Paul, thank you so much for your excellent tutorials! I watch them from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Your videos easy to follow, they are not too long but very informative and useful for the beginners. And they are not just painting lessons, but also some theatrical performance and English hearing practice for me. Thank you also for the well-understandable language, it is a pleasure to hear you and to realize that I everything is clear for me )))

I follow so many watercolor tutorials but you teach so clearly. I like that you tell what brush # and what mix of colors you use because that’s what I struggle with. I also go back to your work for techniques. Thank you
