I saw a blogger (can't remember who) who would ink one side of an embossing folder then lay their cardstock on the uninked side so they wouldn't risk smearing the ink, and closed the inked side onto the cardstock. Being the klutz that I am, that worked so much easier for me.

Kelly - I like all your cards .... my favorite is the pink card, because I love the look of the gradient inking. The whole card has a softer 'presence.' It's good to see the versatility of the dies. I thought your comment about your 'thinking' fingers was cute - so true!

Beautiful cards and technique! (I'm just putting this out there: if you lay the cardstock on the uninked side and close the inked side onto the paper instead of laying it on the inky side and trying not to move it...that might be easier to avoid messing up the print by accidentally moving it).

Very cute, may favorite is the navy blue. Always interesting and fun to use embossing folders in different ways. I’ve done this in the past, but forgot….thanks for the reminder!! Good to know about the spiders….I did stress about that one. I did once get a spider bite on my eye lid while staying in an old B&B……so I was a true believer of the eating of them in your sleep. GACK…..

Old Wives’ Tales is what those myths used to be called. There were a lot when I was growing up - my grandmother told me that if I ate the seeds from a watermelon, I would grow watermelons out of my ears. So what did I do - make sure I ate plenty of watermelon seeds to see what would happen. 😂😂😂 All the best to you on your new ventures - excited for you. I think I like the pale blue card the best, but they are all really pretty. Thanks for the tips on the embossing folders - I’ve seen similar techniques a few times over the years, but haven’t tried it. Now you’ve inspired me to give it a try.

You are so right about pigment ink being the best for this technique! The slow drying property is what makes it all work. Sadly, I just threw out all my Color Box pigments b/c they stopped making them and I only have refills for gold, silver,black and white. My pads dry out so fast in our dry climate! They are still my most used to embossing and word phrases. That ink stamps so much better than Versa Mark with word stamps. Love your white on Navy! Never done that! Can’t wait to try! And YES, Spellbinders is the BEST! ❤ TFS! ❤

Hi, Love the cards! I liked the last one best! This isn't a myth debunked but a belief my 93 year old mother had. I was sending her a card and die cut some extra shamrocks to send to her. She lives in Battle Creek, Mi. I live in Las Vegas. Well she called me to inform me I sent her 3 leaf clovers, not shamrocks. I told her they were shamrocks and that 4 leaf clovers are lucky if you find them. I hope I told her right!!

I love all the cards. I don't use my embossing folders because I always feel that they are so plain. Using them with ink on colored card stock is a fantastic idea. I agree with you on the card you like the best. I love ombre look with all the white surrounding it. It is my favorite. It has a look of simplicity and elegance at the same time. Great video.

Tq for the inspiration, I have lot of embossing folders, love all the cards equally, as for a myth, cracking your knuckles causes arthritis,that's what gran told me growing up, well it out it doesn't, you just release air.

My favorites are the navy & the white ones! & when you mentioned the 7 spiders a year...I LOL'd!! I had a patient at my office yesterday who is an entomologist & teaches at our local university, and his you daughters were also there & they killed a bug for me & that set the girls on a tangent to gross me out by telling me not true facts about bugs lol!! This was so fun!! ANYway...I asked him if it was true about the eating of the spiders & he said "it's probably MORE!! Depending on how much raw vegetables you eat & they are probably afids..."!!! 🤢🤢 I am not sure if I will EVER eat salad again!! 😳

Your example of the states of matter - there were only three when I was educated in the sixties and seventies. Truth changes sometimes. My husband and I were discussing this just today. Our example was that when we had drivers ed, if the green light turned yellow, you were NOT to enter the intersection. Fast forward to the nineties when my boys had drivers ed, and the rule had changed. You’re SUPPOSED to enter the intersection on yellow and be out of it by red. Rules change. 😣🥴☹️

lol on the myths, I taught my daughter she is now 36 that she should always fact check. go to a reliable source! NOT wikipedia if you have to check different sites after that she never believed what her friends said. done! my teenager no longer believed her friends, lol
