How do you like it? I’m gonna look to see if you have an update video - still using it?? Did you get any algae blooms of any sort from the extra nutrients? Thanks for the video!

I am not using miracle mud at this time because i didnt see much benefit to keeping it in my system. I did see the healing of my hippo tangs hlle thanks to the mud but not much else. I may give it another go but i wasnt blown away.

Also no algae blooms or anything negative

Bronx Reefer Brock thanks for the quick respond! My Yellow Tang has HLLE too - I didn’t know there was cheaper made carbon - feel terrible about it. Not running any chemical filtration besides BRS High Capacity GFO. Do you think the Miracle Mud will help with my HLLE? So why did you remove it if it wasn’t causing anything bad or good? How long did you keep it in before removing it? I have mine in a container and I’m doing a water change right now so I’m debating if I should add it or not. Tanks been running so smooth and Happy I’m afraid to change anything up!

It definitely helped my tang get rid of hlle within a week. The carbon is different issue though. The tangs were very sensitive to carbon so go lightly in my opinion. I kept the mud in for a year and removed it rather than replacing it at that time. I do dose trace elements and do monthly water changes, so maybe the mud had no work to do lol.

If the tank is stable then stay the course and resist the urge to tinker with things.

That is a beautiful tank. My Salt tank is a nano, and I have a Hang On Back refugium, I'm thinking I might add some of this miracle mudd to it. (new subscriber)

The container is a nice idea but it wasn't for me, i had it in a container for a few weeks and it just looked unnatural so i decided to release it from the plastic dungeon and now it looks so much better and evenly spread. my corals love this stuff!!!! i will post a video soon!! good job though on the introduction of mud into the fuge with no mess!!!!

I know a guy that runs miracle mud and a lot of cheato and he eventually stopped running his skimmer as his nutrients would hit zero lol. I just added mud yesterday. I’ll report back

so far so good. i dont think it knocked my nitrates back at all though. granted i only added about 1lb of mud in my refugium. but if its releasing trace minerals, ill keep it for that alone. @@bronxreeferbrock1750

Get rid of background music. Horribly distracting.
