I noticed that after you had linked that library setting to your layer, then switched to the other laser/lens, that it automatically reflected the changes without the need to manually assign it again. It's really cool how it will look for the same-named setting in the library and automatically adjust to it if the layer is linked. You can tweak your parameters, open old projects, and it will automatically apply to your layers. This software is so well designed and implemented!

Where do you get the CORE files for the difference size lens? The stock lens will be 175mm and I am adding a 300mm. I am assuming you explain that in another video.

how do I convert my existing .EZD extension files to the Lightburn extension format. I have a lot of designs for several returning clients that I need to be able to use and I want to use Lightburn without having to recreate each one of them.

Unfortunately there's no currently developed solution for this.

Hi! I've set up a new lens by clicking duplicate. I recently purchased another lens and wanted to add it to the devices - however JCZ seems to have disappeared from the device list? Have you seen this before??

Sounds like your free trial for Lightburn for Galvo has come to an end. You'll have to purchase the license to restore that functionality!

im still pretty new to fiber lasers. i noticed that your work area are larger than the lens size. Is that normal practice. Also, i just bout a 150 lens to replace my 110 lens on my 20watt. i see you imported a ezcad file for the new lens. i dont have any ezcad files for a 150. what should i do?

Hi Charles, When using a corfile, lightburn corrects and adjusts the field size and scale, thats normal. For new lenses you don't have a import for, you can duplicate your original device in LB for setup purposes, and use the earlier episodes of the crash course to help swap to ezcad driver and do a corfile to fix any skew/distortion to attach to your new lens/device in LB. Gratz on the new lens!

How do you setup a new fiber laser if you have never set up ezcad before. I'm brand new to fiber lasers. Haven't enven got it yet. Supposed to b here by the end of the month. Very confusing without it here

Most galvo lasers come preconfigured from the factory. Most settings can just be copied out of ezcad or screenshotted before installing the lightburn driver, and then entered once lightburn is installed.

Everything went perfect setting up my monport gp20 fiber laser with a new lense, except I never used ezcad so I don't have a cor file. Is that necessary or will I be alright?

LightBurn will hopefully soon support native lens corrections via software. Right now they only support manual lens corrections, which you should really do for each lens. LightBurn has a video on their channel about the currently supported lens correction method but be warned it is super tedious and time consuming 😬

I am trying to get my parameters on a MacBook but it is not working. Ive copied the correct file from my old windows computer but every time I try to load it into light burn I can't select it because it is greyed out.

HELP please! I have a ComMarker B4 30watt. I'm wanting to get a 150mm x 150mm lens for it but I can't find anything telling me what brands etc fit my Fiber laser. I have a 110 x 110 and a 200 x 200 and want one in the middle. Would you happen to know if Monoport lenses fit the ComMarker B4? If I can find one, I'll be back to watch your video again.

The ComMarker B4 uses smaller lenses than standard. It's not a brand thing, so Monport branded lenses isn't the issue, its the physical size of the lens. There are replacement lenses out there, but you may have to buy them from ComMarker, or from someone like Wavetopsign on aliexpress. Monport and many other companies only carry the standard diameter/threaded lenses. You'll need to measure and confirm, but I suspect it could be an M55 instead of an M85.
