how do you keep nutrients balanced in your tank?

I do weekly to bi weekly 10% water changes due to life’s schedule. I started 2 months ago feeding reef roids 1-2 times a week.. and I do Brightwell coral amino (4 drops) a day if I remember (not sure if this actually made a difference but it didn’t do anything bad to the tank so I decided just to continue to use the rest of the bottle), but to be honest if I see anything bad, usually a 10% water change fixes it pretty good.

@@BeyondNanoReef how much reef roids do you feed? I can’t get any nutrients in my tank.

@@downingmatthewrnot a lot, like 1/4 of a teaspoon. Target feed anemone and torches. Then run the wave maker to broadcast feed what’s left over. When I tried to use reef roids at the beginning it did cause some imbalance but water change fixes it. I usually feed at the beginning then schedule water change the day after or 2 days after.
