Cracking job so far mate. But don't put tyre chippings down it will get everywhere including in the lake, have a look at something like cotswold chippings, its not cheep but its washed natural stone and if you use wacker plate to compacted it it'll last for years
@willandchev42514 ай бұрын
Granitic Sand looks awesome aswell. It's compacted in and will last with no spreading of chips or stones. Looks like a stately home driveway finish.
@ARG.Carp14 ай бұрын
I agree with the rubber chippings. It's horrendous stuff. Will get stuck in boots and end up in the lake and everywhere. I think the ideal peg would have a composite decking. With a wooden panel (that can be changed regularly) to screw stage stands or put pods on

Lakes coming along nicely,well done. Just a heads up,that isn't a telephone pole it's an electricity pole,11 000 volts,you might want to move that by contacting the electricity board for your area,unfortunately itll probably cost a small fortune but just be careful around the line with excavators and indeed fishing rods👍

on the higher edges you can pound in some wooden pegs and put some planks behind them. put some gravel in.. and you will have some nice edges for rodpods, the rain wont wash them away, less muddyness overall. something like retaining walls

You mentioned using chopped up rubber tyres, a local fishery has used them on one of there lakes and there absolutely horrible, there still bits of the tyre wire sticking out of them and they look so ugly in the swim, I'd rather fish on mud than chopped tyre, but it's going to be a cracking place

The upper level of porcelain is going to be right at the lakeside on the left so will still be easy access on the porcelain. THE CAR TYRES.....be very careful with them when they are coloured the colour comes of and stains every thing. A company who i used to work for installed some blue tyre chippings on a nursery playground and a week later we went back and took it all up because it was staining all the kids shoes, clothes, paths, carpets, floors.

Takes the piss a bit tbh, carp fishing in a muddy puddle isn't exactly excellent fun, if it's packed out over a week then it's a shit load of money, hmrc will be happy with their cut
@BradleyGreening4 ай бұрын
You’ll pay £150 - £200 a night for a 3* hotel in the Cotswolds, or £250 plus for a converted horse shed in a field on air b&b. So £250 for a 5* lodge, hot tub and fishing … that’s not bad. Take a look at mill lodge for example. fully booked at £200 a night for a shed and bed and 0.1 acres of water per swim … now do the maths! If you want to pay £40 a night, got to linear. (ps, enjoy the portals😳)

Fantastic video yet again, pond really coming on so much, shame there is no island in the middle or a tree trunk feature, on that bank at the deepest point put some trees there that will grow and overhang the pond creating a feature you can fish too, it will also become a spawning point
