ah but did you account for carp fishing and 2 rods ... or even 3 rods ? 10 swims on a carp lake is 30 rods at max. so at 20 quid for 3 rods 10 swims is 200 quid a day. (Price dependent on excellence of fishing and biggest fish - a lake with 40lb+ fish would probably cost you 30 quid for 3 rods maybe 40 quid per day. As such that 200 quid for 3 rods on ten swims could go to 400 quid a day) The money is in the accomadation...! White acres makes so much money due to residential caravans and 8 lakes, its a fishing resort. Partridge Lakes makes a lot money out of match fishing and pleasure. I know many lake owners that dont even bother with match fishing (if a carp lake) as they get more than 1 rod payments PER swim, however with a snake lake the size of the one at Puddledock Farm he gets a pretty much guaranteed 50 anglers every Sunday on his matches even in the winter, thats 50 at 10 - 12 quid a throw EVERY Sunday on just one of his 3 or 4 lakes (add to that bait (Fishery only pellets) and cafe food spend.

Buy a pre built swimming pool, put sleepers around it then you dont have to dig the ground up. Look for a simple option.

For the mini stock pond - just stick some netting over it instead of building an other fence. Similar to koi/garden ponds. Cheap and ease.

For future reference biodiversity is a measure of species richness so having lots of carp is a lack of biodiversity and what's reffered to as a monoculture. Im guessing you meant to say biomass and that a higher biomass results in those issues. Good luck!

Create floating aquaponic island filters. You have a pump bring bottom water up onto the island and have it run through a series of growbeds to feed plants on the island and eventually drain back into the pond in a waterfall fashion which also aerates the pond. Native Americans used a non pump raft method. Could be used in your pond to not only provide filtration but also shade and cover.

Personally I’d not put the stock pond right next to the lake. Floods one day and all small Fish end up in the main lake. Be a head ache. Would go for a poly tunnel set up. But good luck
