Once you've made your signature you can save it as a Brush and you will always have it, just choose brush, then your signature, then choose your color. Much easier than importing a file everytime you want to add a signature. Search making a logo into a brush and it's basically the same process.

Hi Matt: just a FYI, the company you mentioned in your video about doing logos had been doing a lot of advertising on FB. I am a photographer and designer. Although my skills as a designer are very limited. However, after watching your video, I was able to download some free calligraphy fonts and had a go at designing a logo myself. Well sir, I was able to come up with some very cool designs. When I got my first logo for Photologo I was very under whelmed. It looks like they purchased the same fonts as I did. I am not happy with these folks. Only one example and it looks like it took them five minutes to do. And, the price of the logo is just not worth it. My advice, for me the next time, I will not work with these folks again. Nothing against you at all, just very underwhelmed for $90.00. As always Matt, you do an excellent job teaching. I have been following your dates at NAPP. Great work.

Hi Matt! I presume we could ever sign on a piece of paper and scan the same for use in PS? I guess we could also create a brush with the signature in Photoshop. We could change the brush to any colour we want.

Thanks for the video Matt, really interesting however, if someone wanted to steal your image as far as I can tell they can remove the signature. Can you somehow incorporate it into the image file to stop image theft? Thanks again

Hi Bryan. The only way to truly protect your photos from being stolen online is don't publish them online. If some one wants your photo, they'll get it no matter what. There's nothing you can do.

Save it as png. Then when your ready to put use it, go to files,place embeded, go to where you saved it then double click, drag to whatever size then walllah.

Hi. The Move Tool (left toolbox) will allow you to move something around.

It’s easier to scan your signature on white paper and save it as a photo. You can then import the photo, remove the white background and you’ve got your signature layer.

Really great tutorial! But I just have one question. If you've saved the signature as a JPEG, and "multiply" it onto the photo, is there a way to invert the colour of the writing without the background popping up again? Not sure if I'm explaining this good enough, but I'll give it a try.

Hi Rebecca - yes. Press Ctrl or Cmd I to invert. Then change the blend mode to Screen instead of Multiply .

I have the signature part down but I want to add some text under the signature and copy it along with the signature to past into a photo and I can not get that to work. Is there a way to do that?

Create a new text layer. create your text, turn off background, merge visible, copy and paste. If you plan on doing the same text with the sig over time. Just create a brush preset. See my other comment on how to do that. much easier than doing this over and over for multiple photos.

I'm a complete & total idiot! There, I saved you the trouble of saying it...Tho' I know I am! I was just thrilled when I found your tutorial because woohoo, I do have my signature done by Photologo & I love it. I also do not have Lightroom but do have Photoshop Elements 13. I thought I had it made now for sure. The problem is I'm a photographer...I'm about as technically adept as a human can be. I've watched the video five times now & there doesn't seem to be one thing in your PS that I can find in mine? Is Elements 13 *that* much different than previous ones or I'm I not looking in the right places? Sorry to be such a pinhead but could you help me a little further here?
